Hi Barb, I hope Checkers will change his mind and like the Paw Lickin fuds. Otherwise, I guess it's chicken salad sandwuches? :lol: Checkers, how about a nice slide today.

:lol: You got that right, Ann. It does smell good. He's eating it now, with no embellishments. I smooshed it in a little food chopper. He likes the smooth texture better. Also it's room temp.
Personally, I don't like reheated chicken, I think reheating changes the flavor.

Oh great to hear Barb! Checkers, you are a good boy eating your chicken. :lol: I agree, the microwaving must change the flavor, and our kitties would be sure to notice.

Hi Barb. Nice that Checkers surfed the blue zone last night and made his way back to the blue zone this morning. Maybe he'll make it to the green zone today.

Hi Barb,

I'm glad Checkers decided to eat well this morning. Racci did also. It must be a good eating day. :lol: Such fuss pots, our kits! You said you have a small food chopper? Will it make food smooth? Racci won't eat lumps so just wondering.

I agree with you about the +2 and +3. The +3 is much nicer and you can never convince me that they're almost the same. :lol: Good job! He's moving in the right direction. I hope he continues to go lower and has a nice safe blue/green surf.

What a crazy surf. I retested with different meter, to see if the original was stuck at that number. Yup, got a 200.

One sniff of gravy, and he'll be over the color line to yellow. nailbite_smile

Checks is surfin' blue, as is Rusty. Liz suggests that they are basking in the color of the Blue Mannie Group. I think so, too. Rock on, Checks! Glad you like the Paw Lickin' Chicken. Rusty will get to try some in a couple of weeks.

:lol: :lol: a lot of times if Gobbles is say, 400, 405.....we call it maybe 395. We decided we hate the color red, so try to keep it off his SS :lol: :lol:

Nice blues for Checkers today. I hope he slides back down to blue. That's great he is eating his new fuds today.

This day was wonderful. Checkers ate well. That seems to be my criteria for what a good day is.

It's very hard for me to talk about his weak back legs, and the fact that he doesn't/can't keep himself as clean as he has, all his life.
I realize that I should be keeping his health problems current, on the board, so it isn't a shock to his/my friends, when the situation turns dire. Gawd, it's hard to write this down.
Last evening, I had to bathe his back end, as he smelled unclean. :sad:
I sprayed him with waterless shampoo, toweled off as much as I could, then put him in the tub and very quickly rinsed it off.
It was not a happy experience for him, as he has always hated having his back end and feet touched.
It hurts to see him not be able to do the grooming he always has.
I am so grateful to have bupe to control pain.

Don't let mommabean make salad out of your new fuds!!! My little ones don't like chunks either. I'm going to try your smooshing idea.

I hear ya on the back end issues. Mario also had back end issues, too, and really wasn't able to groom very well back there for a couple years. In fact, he couldn't even sit with his tush on the floor for several years...this was one of those things that I didn't immediately realize, but suddenly it hit me that he never ever sits. Anyway, I ultimately tried to keep it as stress-free as possible for him, and used kitty wipes and gentle brushing to try and keep things "in order" for him. I also didn't want to insult him, so I never made a big fuss over it. I think they know, though, that everything we do is out of pure and genuine love. I know I could see the gratefulness in Mario's eyes. I miss my sweet boy.

Ok, Checks...keep eatin' that Paw Lickin', or MamaBean is gonna take it for herself!!! The shreds freaked Trix out at first, but now she knows how to chew them, and all is well. Silly cats!
