I started Racci's new dose and she had a yellow today. I hope that's not a bad sign. It's a low one and she does that a lot so I will see howthe day plays out, especially since we were out of the 2% bg and she wanted only the 13 % Core Salmon. I hae a few other new ones but unfortunately the pates are FF, which she didn't like the texture of, I guess, rabbit didn't like, california salmon never tried but lots of carbs and the others aren't pates! Going to have to trade in the non-pate since she wont' eat them.

Racci is doing well today though and eating (as long as it's what she wants) :roll: , and doing all else she should be and happy. The weather is cold and rainy and its a dreary day. DH just went to the store & hopefully he can get more Merrick BG since Racci has decided she really likes it. The squirrels are eating all the poor birds food as usual and the acrobat raccoons emptied the feeders overnight so my birds probably won't get anything to eat until much later when the squirrels go off and do squirrely things and I refill. :YMSIGH:

Hope this will be a great cycle for Racci girl..She has been doing very well, so Paws & fingers crossed for a good day!
Our bird seed gets eaten by pidgeons--we have lots & they eat it all! Plus leave loads of poo on our deck..
we have tried everything, fake owls, not feeding, etc, nothing works..Guess God made them for a reason!

Hi Randa & Roni!

It looks like this dose is doing well. I probably just killed her chance of getting a green by feeding her Core at 13% but a 103 at 4.5 meant she might have been really low by +6 and I really didn't want her to bounce again or have to wait for DH to come home before I tested. I'm really surprised she went so low with the high carbs! I can't believe how well she's doing! It's making me wonder if I might actually wind up getting her on a normal dose like most people use. :lol:

I find it so frustrating that my poor little songbirds can't eat in peace anymore. i go out & buy them expensive food, just like I do for Racci, and break up peanuts for them and meanwhile the other critters get them all the time. I have to sneak out to feed the birds! We get white doves instead of the dark pigeons, same thing tho so I know what you mean. We also get oppossums up on the deck. It's nuts. I don't mind feeding them just leave the poor birds alone! :lol:

I'm starting to have my doubts about this dose reduction. I hope this is just a bounce from the change and if so, it doesn't last long. She's been getting over bounces in one day lately so she should be normal tomorrow if this is a bounce, I guess I'll know then.

There is nothing quite like the lantus roller coaster ride is there! Hoping it's just a little bounce.

Me too but its hard to tell, she ususally is over her bonces in a day and this makes 3 days, I'm thinking if she dosn;t clear today i might have to go back to 3.5. What do you think? Would you give it longer? or go back and try again when she's doing well? It looks like a fur shot but I know it wasn;t !
