I didn't get back on board last night - I had a life instead (home made Sri Lankan food). Of course Neko threw me the 64 on the way out the door. :rolleyes: A little HC and Otto(feeder) took care of her until I got back.

This AM before rowing Neko was very purry for her +9 test. DH did TFS while I got to stay in the cove for breakfast. It's another sunny day and another solarium day for the kitties. It was a bit noisy for a while with the birthday party next door, but it's calmed down now. It's quite warm out so the smells (and sounds) of spring meant lots of sniffing at the window screens. Neko spent a good part of the day stretched out in the warmth and got her Caturday catmint this afternoon. :)

Thanks all who visited yesterday. @Bron and Sheba - that belly pic looks familiar. @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) - No more regattas for me until July. DH has one in June but it's in Vancouver Washington and I don't want to take Neko across the border - which would mean a rabies shot.

Today we honor the memory of Mannie - without whom this bean would never have discovered nanners. Here is a pic of Neko with her favorite nanner, the carrot.

Missy Neko's looking pretty fabulous- woot!! Love the pic too--one year ago, I had no clue what a naner was, let alone that Sir Manny was the naner king LOL! :D

You can kind of see her cinnamummum coloring, must be all that sun bathing in the solarium! Glad you got out and had a good dinner party last night! :joyful::joyful:
 
Great picture of Neko and her nanna. Sometimes we need time out to smell the roses. We are finally getting spring here too.
 
it always surprises me how much Neko and Shadow favor each other. I just love tuxies...
I just want to kiss those little pink toes....

Shadow will often offer them, but then she also does the knead with the nails.... usually on my face....
kiss my toes.... and then the big love bite....

What are nanners?
Good to hear you are going into spring... You must welcome it every year. We are heading into autumn but of course we don't have the winter extreme weather you have....we have the hot summers. Usually winter here is lovely, apart from some wet, windy cold days and cold snaps. It gets cold at night but warms up during the day to be quite pleasant. No snow where I live but 2 hours away in the Blue Mountains it snows.
 
The pic was taken just after Christmas, the nanner looks a bit more disgusting now. :p And Neko wasn't as brown as she is now.

@Bron and Sheba - Nanners are a L/L legend, check out the Remembering Mannie condo today. Nanners are catnip toys, originally bananas. Mannie was a hoarder of nanners and introduced many of us to them. We also don't have real extreme winters on the we(s)t coast. Most of the time it's above 0 celcius, but it is much rainier then. This winter the ski hills behind our house had a horrible season with hardly any snow.

Congratulations on having a life. Of course, if Neko was on Lantus, I'm sure you wouldn't have been so comfy leaving her with just Otto. Lev does have its advantages!
 
Lovely pic of Neko looking very regal. Do you know I've searched high and low here for "nanners", no luck, only mice shaped ones which mine treat with contempt. The dog eats them .....
 
@ Ruth, Peg, Rhiannon, Bron, Lulu, Ella, Tricia, ((Michelle)), Marilyn, Suki, Anne - Neko does love her nanners. She can often be found at the nanner pile late afternoon or in the evening. Civie Theo is wiling to give them a fling too. In our house, the Cosmic Catnip version of the toys seems to go over better. Neko took a chili pepper one with her on her trip to Fort Collins for SRT. But she's a sucker for toys with feathers on them.
@Tricia & Cinco - You are so correct about Neko on Lantus vs. Lev. I was much more nervous with Neko and low numbers when she was on Lantus.
 
Love that pic of Neko! You can really see how she's been sunning herself, Noodle's getting there too. Your tan's looking good, Neko, but don't forget your sunscreen!! ;)
