yay for the pool. the "pool" cracks me up bc most cats dont like water. ironically larry LOVES water. he needs to dive in. i have 1 other cat who loves it as much or more than he does. i would give anything to film her. her name is pumpkin. shes a beautiful, dainty orange, princess. when i take a bath, she sits on the ledge, and scoops the water out with her paw, SO properly, and delicately. its like shes holding a little teacup made of fine china! i wish yall could see her. she is such royalty.
more than once she has fallen in with me. not fun.

Not all cats hate water and most are excellent swimmers. What they hate is the lack of purchase on wet surfaces. I can bathe all of mine I just but a towel down for them to grab onto. But both tigers and cougars in the wild love swimming. And the only real difference between them and their cousins on your couch is size.

Ha! reminds me of my civvie Molly who actually fell into my pool years ago. She got chased around the pool by my doggie Misty and missed a turn I suppose. Came home that night to find big wet area by pool and finally found kitty soak and wet trying to dry herself off. Needless to say, took her a long time to venture out to the pool deck again. My vet actually told me I'm lucky she didn't drown, that he's seen it happen.
