One year ago today I said goodbye to my best friend, Mannie. It is hard to believe that it truly has been that long.... There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of him, remember all those good times! We had such a close bond. FD does that to us all. We becomes inseparable, in a good way. So today remember him with fondness, with a twinkle in your eye, a cup of barista made joe to toast him with, and a warm fuzzy feeling deep down within. I know I shall. Here's to you Mannie! Cheers! and let the good times roll. Mannie said so.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to CD, for a wodnerful tribute she put together for me and for Mannie.... I cannot thank her enough.

And for all my mocha fans: a Venti quad dutch apple infused white mocha, with caramel whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings and a caramel drizzle...... SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of apple and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with crystallized apple bits and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

WOO HOO!!!! IT IS FRIDAY FURDAY! :-D :-D :-D I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Ours was AWESOME! and very very busy... It was an indoor activity day for the most part, as the rains just did not leave us. We ended up doing two things yesterday: The Pacific Science Center which was GREAT, and WhirliGig a bouncy house type event which was not so great. Both places were extremely busy, as I think Seattle schools must have been on Spring Break. anyways - Nicholas loves the Science Center, but eh way too crowded Center House was just too much overload for him. Poor kid! We found something that perked him up though, so all was well when we went home. Here is what I wrote about the day in last nights condo: "Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We did well here, been very busy! Weather here has been rains most of the day. Sprinkles the rest, with not one bit of sunshine. Except for maybe now when it looks like there may be a few rays out over the sound. Thanks goodness we all have rain slickers! We went to the Science Center today, and had a great time there, even though I had to try and keep Nicholas moving if we were to have any hopes of being able to spend any time at WhirliGig, a bouncy house/slide event which was out afternoon stop. Funny first thing he wanted to see was the butterflies. He really likes going through with the field guide and trying to figure out which ones he looking at. That is fun, makes him take a good look at what he is seeing. Anyways, nice time there, spent with the usual things we do there: dinosaurs, music, water and just plain earning how things work. I wish I could say the same about WhirliGig. OMG, I think all of Seattle's kids were there, plus with it being a free day the place was PACKED. Nicholas was so excited to be going. It was unfortunate that it was on kid overload, as it was a bit overwhelming for him, and frustrating, as he really couldn't do anything. The lines to each of the the "rides/Bouncy houses" was horrific. A good 20 minutes per thing, if not more. He was in tears by the time we got through one line, as he just didn't quite understand what the deal was, and why he had to wait to play, and why I couldn't come in those houses to play with him. so....after a few attempts at some of the stuff, he was bawling and asked to go, so we did. sheshhhh! We spent the rest of the afternoon walking the center grounds and looking at all the plants, sculptures etc. That he loved and was one happy kid again. It would have been fine if it hadn't been so chaotically busy... lesson learned I guess. Other than that, great time with the boys. LOL: William slept through that whole chaos thing. You gotta love it."

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   This morning things are very normal, very quiet... hmmmmmmmmmmm...... Its like they know the days after I have the boys that the bean is mega tired, so they chill out more than normal. Good Kitties! Once again Elsa has camped out on her spot on the sofa, Bug is in Mannie's bed, and Lola is on my lap. Quiet rules here this morning. I have written this so many times, but it still holds true: the mornings here are my some of my favorite times with the kitties. Stay this way today kitties. It is so quiet there this morning. We all had a great day yesterday - even the kitties. They have been extra cuddly, and extra good. Almost too good. It was nice to have one day where things weren't Lola-ized. Even the plants and the boxes were safe. Maybe she is finally starting to mellow out some. maybe? Can I say Normalcy in MusketeerVille?

Have a great day everyone. I am back on Nicholas and William duty today. The weather is..... I dunno! it keeps changing... It looks like it will be cloudy in he morning, maybe some sun by afternoon. Just like yesterday.... Who knows what we will do today!  We will be swimming in the morning, for sure.If Nicholas still wants to go too in the evening after a full day of adventures we may do that. We have been doing FR nights for quite a while now, and I expect he will want to go. I will try and get to condos when I can. Sorry that I keep missing so many of you.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

:YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: It's so hard to believe that it has been a whole year! Mannie does live on here in LL and always will! Thanks, CD I really appreciate seeing the tribute to him.

So sorry the WhirliGig didn't workout, but Nature Boy seemed very happy afterwards! :-D :-D

I think today we may finally get the Catio finished, i know, I've been saying that all week. There were a few security issues, but I think the escape artist will be foiled now. Funny thing, both Emma and Izzy tried to walk into the netting and stick their heads through (too small!), but were standing on the excess on the patio and doing all the anchoring themselves!

It's hard to believe it has been a year. Mannie will always be remembered. He was a special kitty. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Sorry Nicholas got so upset at the crowds. I'm glad you were able to find something else for him to do for him to enjoy.

I can't believe nothing was Lola-ized. Maybe she was just giving you a break for a day or lulling you into a false sense of security. ;-)

Hi everyone. morning too!

Ann - i so k now on that year... i am grateful to CD to that video. It was so cool. Me too on whirligig, but we did salvage the rest if the tine, and he ended up being no worse for wear. VERY COOL on the catio! I can so see the escape artists hard at work - that would be Lola too. TOO FUNNY n their trying to get their faces through the betting.  That too would be Lola. ;-) What a hoot onthem anchoring it by sanding on it. One has got to love it.

Hi Carla - Me too on that year. Many thanks! me too on Nicholas and the crowds - just too overwhelming for him. It was just best we left, and find something he really did like. ha HAHA on Lola, an d I do betr you are right. She has done that before: given me that false sense of security, and then BAM! All gets Lola-ized! I am sure there will be something.....
