Yes, @Wendy&Neko I do have another bottle of budesonide which I will open today after counting the tablets.

Leroy woke up in the middle of the night yowling and bothering civvie :eek: He's been yowling a lot after dinner lately. I seriously think he has some cognitive issue going on in his head. Vet says we can try Prozac if the yowling becomes bothersome. Has anyone tried brain / cognitive supplements? I somehow got a store credit to OnlyNaturalPet.com and was looking there to see what supplements might be helpful for Leroy's various issues. The only concern is Leroy's sensitive tummy and what might upset it :nailbiting: Vet has no experience on supplements and errs on the side of not giving extra stuff.
 
You might want to post on Feline Health as well about the cognitive supplements. I have seen kitties here on Prozac, but for other reasons.
 
Someone please explain how insulin ends up 2 inches away from where I inject into the tented skin :confused::banghead::banghead: Nothing got on my fingers. The insulin literally was on the skin 2 inches away from my fingers and no I didn't poke the needle through the tent. I always aim straight downwards kind of towards the body. Maybe those 15/16 inch needles will work better for Leroy and his weirdo body :blackeye: Leroy licked himself clean so maybe what he ingested might still work o_O

Tanya's CKD Website has a section on Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome. It talks about several of the symptoms you mentioned above and discuss a number of nutritional supplements available which are thought to help manage cognitive dysfunction. Things like essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and B12 supplements.
 
Leroy already takes B12 injections for his IBD. It looks like denosyl is helpful. Lots to read this weekend :bookworm: I'll probably go down the rabbit hole with the Merck Manual again :p

The cat I had before Charlie was on Prozac. He had urinary blockages which led to a litter box aversion, and he would pee all over furniture and the floor. Prozac was the last resort after trying everything else under the sun. Thankfully it worked.
