~O) Good morning, LL! ~O) TGIF! :-D

Yesterday's Condo: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=117399

Yesterday's Numbers:
AMBG - 81
PMBG - 47

Thanks for stopping by our condo yesterday and cheering us on, everyone. Your encouragement is always appreciated! Thanks, too, for the feel-better vines. I've lost my voice this morning, which is not necessarily a bad thing according to DH. He's such a pain in my rear end, but at least he did let me poke a cat this morning. Woot woot!

Shelly I am so sorry you have been afflicted with FSD. I am sending you anti-FSD vines...but from what I know about the disease the vines may not be enough. If you start to experience any urges to walk on your keyboard, lick the back of your leg, or randomly swat items off of the coffee table, you WILL need to seek medical attention. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

   Kim, thank you for the vines and the medical advice. Fortunately, I have not experienced any of these symptoms. However, I did have some leftover food on my plate last night at the awards reception. I set my plate on the floor and began to scratch furiously at the carpet around the plate in an attempt to bury the leftover food. Needless to say, my behavior was not well received. As I was leaving the reception, my boss mentioned that she would like to have a little chat with me today.

I have to admit that I am quite concerned about Jersey this morning. She seems...well....nice. She cuddled with me the past two nights, stood guard in the bathroom this morning to make sure I didn't disappear down the shower drain, and purred yesterday when I petted her. What was most concerning to me was that she let me pet her for several minutes without any attempt to turn around and rip my face off. Please send some anti-nice vines for us today; there's just something not quite right about that cat! I can't even complete my daily PPIGS report! nailbite_smile

I have nothing on my agenda after work today except catching up on visits. I did read through condos as Jersey and I cuddled in bed last night. I'm so glad to hear that Lucy's dental went well. I'm also happy to hear that Trixie's grandpa is doing better. Thank goodness there have been no more reports out of Trixie's condo about s*** on DH's car!

Thoughts, prayers, vines (whichever type is needed), and hugs are en route to all in need. I also continue to keep those who have lost beloved kitties - whether recently or not - in my thoughts and prayers.

Once again, I'm wishing you all sunshine in your lives but blues and greens on your spreadsheets!
Shelly

   You're telling ME !!!!! What a way to start the day. Thank you for the kind words about Trix's Grandpa, too.

Jersey is looking lovely today!!! I'm sorry she's being so nice to you, though...that is just crazy!! There's always tonight for completely the PPIGS report.

Have a great day, Shelly!

Is abnormal affection a symptom of FSD?

Day 8!!! Way to go Jersey!

Abnormal niceness? Hmm, I wonder if that's a distraction while she's plotting. Or maybe she's just genuinely happy not to be poked as much.

Happy Day 8! Past the hump - Go Jersey!

Thanks for your visits today, Amy, Ann, Tina, Jen, and Wendy!

At first, I was thinking along the same lines you were, Jen. The abnormal affection was simply a symptom of FSD. Now, I believe that Wendy may have been correct. Jersey was just luring me into a false sense of security with all of her niceness. Just when I started to relax, she threw me a 31 for tonight's PMBG. I had to break out the spare meter and break open the new can of test strips after that one. That's when I got a 22! Yowser! Thank you, Jerz, for getting the human's bp up this evening! It does make me feel better to know that you have not stopped plotting my demise.

Yikes, a 22 and that's without insulin. After you recovered from fainting, what did you do? Did you feed her some HC food? I wonder if this is a common occurrence?

I see Jersey is still keeping you on your toes. That would be scary if she was still on insulin.

Happy Day 8!

only with jersey would we have to say that she can't become hypo without an insulin injection, unless there's a something unusual medical going on.

i'd probably attribute it to wonky meter/strip action. let's hope.

perhaps she is so thrilled that you're not poking her nonstop anymore that she's decided to spare your life after all. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and sharing my , Elise, Liz, Carla, Julie, Mariko, & Amy!

I will go ahead and admit - once again - that I am weak.....have no self-control.....am a bad, bad bean, etc. I had to poke Jersey again after those low PM readings. Luckily, she was cruisin' at a nice 57.

Oh......and since I can't hide anything from you people and it's only a matter of time before I'm called out on it, I also poked her today (unnecessarily of course) at AM+7. What in the world is wrong with me?! ohmygod_smile I can't take Jersey's affection; it's pushing me to the brink. nailbite_smile Poor cat. This is absolutely, without a doubt, why she plots my demise each day.

DAY EIGHT!!!!! WOOOOOTTT!!!

Please don't make me fly there and take away your pokey sticks and meter!!!!

We have actually had members whose cats in remission got that low and they gave them karo ;-)
