Re: 4/18: Cedric amps 300

Wow, is he that sensitive? :o I know some cats are more sensitive to various things, like Autumn, who is sensitive to everything. Poor baby!

I thought you were good within 15 minutes, someone told me that a while back, I think. Lucian's shot will vary 5-10 minutes once in a while and I figured that was ok. ohmygod_smile

I do try my very best to be consistent as I understand that is extremely important in order to have any chance of them getting regulated. With Lucian, I won't allow myself to even entertain the idea of OTJ. :o I really doubt that will ever happen. I just want him regulated, healthy and happy. :thumbup

Hey Jesse,

When is the next time you are going to be able to get a curve on him? I'm thinking you are probably going to have to go up in dose again with him, but right now without some nadir numbers I'm just not sure if I would take him up .25u or .5u but he is staying too high on preshots. I know last time you had to take him up quite a bit before he started coming down, now granted some of that was because he was still on some dry food, but even still it may take a bigger dose to get him down into healing numbers since we don't know exactly why he fell out of remission in the first place.

Re: 4/18: Cedric amps 300

Saturday, actually, Mel. I have a hair appt at 9am, so I will miss one 2 hr check, but this is the best I could do. I agree, I think he needs more insulin, maybe .25. Started using the Relion syringes today and can see that they are not as "nice" looking as the BD ones, and still gave me a damn bubble!

I was just guessing on that 15 minutes late thing, but that probably made no difference. I am going to have to change his shot time this weekend since I have to work at 5am on Sunday.

I think I will do a seperate thread about that topic....

Really you should have a 30 minute window +/- per day to shoot Lantus so that 15 minute late shouldn't have mattered one way or the other, I know I have shot Autumn in that window many many times but then again she is a Levemir cat but I don't think that really matters much when it comes to early or late shoots as they are both depot insulins.
