Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,
Stu got home late from Max's wonderful OTJ party, dancing and singing and showing off some new dance steps that the lady kitties taught him. Since then he's been cooking for Hank's OTJ party and is a bit tired this morning (the cold, wet weather might have something to do with it). He had breakfast (2 mini installments, thus far), went outside in the damp briefly, and now is resting in front of the radiator. He pounded a lot last night and poor DH, who bears the brunt of Stu's door-pounding, went btb this morning. When Stu cooks, he pounds a lot. I have a theory that cooks have to let off steam periodically. (Once we lived in back of a Chinese restaurant in Brooklyn. Every night, around midnight, the cook would step outside the back door and scream his lungs out for a minute or two! Stu just steps up the pounding).
Here's the menu for Hank's party: Appetizers: Grilled Gulf-of-Mexico jumbo shrimp; Salpicón. Main courses: Lone Star Chili; Barbecued chicken Texas style. Salad of field grasses. Dessert: Catnip crème.
Now we hope that all beans will have a great start to the weekend, that all cats will have good numbers after all that indulging last night, and that all those kitties will get on their dancing boots and jingling spurs and head out to celebrate with Hank.
