I so agree.... fly free Shad-O! We have lost a legend. Hugs to Pat.

Enjoy your bike ride today. I hope the weather will be good, and that good times abound. And Rusty - you surf well!

Re: 4/17 Rusty AMPS 92, +9.5 69

Hi guys,
Rusty and Edward had a good day. They went outside this morning and Rusty had an encounter with his "enemy" from across the street, Shadow. Rusty hissed, lifted his paw, and Shadow took off! Rusty clearly didn't want Shadow on his property. +9 is usually a little beyond Rusty's nadir, so he could have been lower earlier today. Edward made sure that he ate his fuds (Rusty is a grazer and often forgets to eat).

I had a great ride. It was 34 degrees when we began, but the sun was shining and we were all wearing our winter gear. It warmed up to the upper 40s. We rode along the Ausable River (which was not as high as I expected it would be, but apparently on Monday it was in flood stage) from the hamlet of Jay to the village of Keene, where we had lunch at the Adirondack Cafe (great grilled-cheese sandwiches on homemade bread). Then we rode back. 21 miles total. Roads were good. There were 6 of us. This ride is in the High Peaks, but was rolling, not steep. My knee was fine. It didn't hurt at all to ride!!! We'll see if stiffness develops later, but if it does, I'll put some Arnica gel on it.

Tired now and time to veg out until dinner (I wisely picked up a pre-made casserole at a deli, so all I have to do is stick it in the oven).

Back this evening to visit condos.

Ella & Rusty

Nice numbers for Rusty. I'm glad the bike ride went well and your knee is not bothering you.

Very wise indeed! :-D :-D 21 miles, that's a great first ride. Paws crossed that the knee continues to feel good. Don't stray too far from the lagoon, Rusty. I think Tillie's birthday is looking good for the chair, 9 more days.

Another great cycle for Rusty! Good on him defending his turf just by showing his paw.

Yeah for the first bike ride of the year. Paws crossed the knee is fine after that. Grilled cheese on home made bread - yummy!
