Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty couldn't wait to get us up this morning. He zoomed around, down and up the stairs. We had a good test, he ate all of his breakfast (even the Wellness Turkey), we had a good shot (I'm sticking with the dose increase to 1.75 skinny; looks like a bounce this morning from the surprise 65 last night). Then we had an "accident". I was on my knees, next to the table, looking for the tire- pressure indication on my bike tire. Rusty had been lounging on the other end of the table, I didn't hear him come over to see what I was doing. I couldn't see the tire very well because the light was dim, so I got up to get a flashlight, was too close to the table, and banged my hip on the table. The next thing I knew Rusty flew to the other end of the table, threw himself off the table (along with a furry of placemats) and ran into the living room. I must have really startled him. I don't think I hit him! It took quite a while to calm him down. He's OK!! In any event, I'm thrilled that he seems to be feeling so much better. When I go to get my car serviced this afternoon I will stop at the vet's to pick up Rusty's urinalysis results (the vet's office is right next to the auto shop).

Wishing everyone a good day and keeping Carolyn and Tena in our thoughts. Sending healing vines to all sick kitties. We are very happy that Lyresa's Harley (drooler) has decided to stay a while.

Re: 4/17 Rusty AMPS 157

Morning Ella, I hope your hip is okay and Rusty has recovered okay, too. It sounds like he was just startled! I always seem to be banging myself on something around the apartment! Rusty sure has recovered nicely, and that's not a bad bounce at all. He'll be back to Rusty numbers in no time. Good luck with getting the car serviced, and hope Rusty's urinalysis results are all good. Have a nice day.

Hi guys .. ok rusty .. not a bad start to the day, but I know you can still bring this down .. Sorry to hear about startling rusty .. I'm glad he's and hope he's forgiven you .. you know these kitties, they can hold grudges forever :-D have a great day guys!

Re: 4/17 Rusty AMPS 157, +5.5 106

Hi again,
Rusty ate a 2nd sitting of breakfast (a combo platter of FF T&G and Wellness Turkey), lunch (another combo platter), had some outdoor time this morning, and got weighed: 16 lbs. 15 oz. (he didn't lose any weight since his diagnosis--actually gained an ounce on our scale. I had been worried that he wasn't eating enough during the worst of his pancreatitis). When we're sure he has totally recovered, we'll think about starting the weight-loss diet again!

Off soon to get my car serviced and hopefully to get Rusty's urinalysis results.

bbl,

Ella & Rusty

I hope you have a good report both from the vet and the garage. :-D :-D Rusty seems to be clearing the bounce and heading right back to the Lagoon, unlike some who I will not mention.

Hi Ella. Hope you're not bruised tomorrow.
It sure looks like Rusty's feeling much better. Nice numbers and good energy to fly off the table. Poor startled baby

Re: 4/17 Rusty AMPS 157, +5.5 106, PMPS 159 fur?

Hi again,
Rusty ate well all day and ate all of his dinner tonight. But we had a dreadful shot. He pulled away before I could push the plunger; then, on the second try he pulled away while I was pushing the plunger and about half of the insulin went in; then, on the 3rd try I shot the rest and saw blood at the shot site. I hope I just nicked a capillary and didn't shoot insulin into a vein. There was more blood than I've seen on other occasions when I have nicked a capillary. Edward smelled Lev. (I didn't), so it might have been a partial fur shot, too. ohmygod_smile

I got Rusty's urinalysis results and they look good (I think). My car will be wanting significant brake work soon. (a result of the harsh winters we have up here with so much salt on the roads).

Enjoy the evening, everyone,

Ella & Rusty

(((((Ella))))) Sometimes those shots just happen. I imagine you just nicked a capillary. Maybe he bled a little more because it's warmer. I am so glad that he's feeling better and eating well.

Wow, what a day you had. Hope all is well tonight, your hip included!

Rusty slept all evening, but seems fine now (I worried about him). He just gobbled up some FF T&G. My hip is fine, too. But I think I pulled a hamstring today. Tomorrow is a hike/climb, but an easy one, so I'm going despite any aches/pains.

ni ni, this was a stressful day!

Wow...what a day for you all! I'm glad Rusty is better and eating well and I hope you won't have any residual aches tomorrow Ella...hope the hamstring is ok.

Your other best boy sends big hugs. His herpes tried to come back in his left eye but I caught it and started the meds and it looks great.

Hope you can hike tomorrow!
