ohmygod_smile It never fails - I KNOW I mentioned something about good preshots yesterday and I get THIS....
I even retested and got about 15 points higher....

But looking at her spreadsheet for some reason she seems to do this every 4th morning, lol......and I guess its just one of those thingsx.

Have a great day all...supposed to be nice here, I'm hoping I can sneak out of work a bit early today and get a few things done around the house while the weather is cooperative.

I think she may have gotten a little lower last night and is having a small bounce this morning. At least Jez doesn't bounce up to 600+! :o

I thought that maybe, but she dropped fast and then hung around 100 for several hours - and its not like she hadn't been there before -. But who knows why cats do anything, lol. I'm sure she'll come off it quickly enough - I'm not worried in the long run. Just reminding me that she's still the boss. And yes, I would have a hard time dealing with the numbers you get on occasion...not to mention its impossible for me to check ketones except with that very expensive special litter additive....so I need her to stay where I don't have to worry.

Re: 4/17 Jez AMPS 376

I'm thinking it is a tiny bounce as well...remember not only will they bounce from a lower than normal number but also if they drop very fastly, so when she started that freefall it could have started the bounce because her body was trying to put the brakes on it.

Ahhhh - got it - thanks Mel - I always feel better if there's some sort of explanation associated with what I'm seeing. She did something similar on Saturday when she came up so high so fast after coasting for five hours...I only caught that cause I was testing - otherwise I would have assumed she just ran a regular cycle Probably got one of those shoot lows coming - I'll just root for her to do it in the evening when its easier for me to monitor.

Next time she drops that fast, try to control it with a tiny bit of food for a couple hrs, maybe it will help.

LOL - actually she drops with food since I put the bowls out after I test - both of my furkids are grazers so it takes them several hours to get through their meals. She's not dropping particularly low - its just quick. From when I've been able to get some +2/+3 lately I think her pancreas is starting to work a bit in conjunction with the food - and then the Lantus kicks in and takes her to those nice numbers earlier than one would expect. I don't really see a +6 like I used to - now its pretty much drop and stay there for a while with the occasional bounce like I had on the 13th - and then midcycle on the 14th - I have to just guess what happens in between but its probably about the same - sitting low blue, maybe a bit of green between about +2 and the +11.

Can't complain - I think she's in a good place the majority of the time.
