Good drippy morning LL (its icy misty out there here)

Thanks for all the 'cone of shame' visits yest. He's enjoying a break from it while we are here. Yest morning was his last bupe dose and he seems much better. And the BGs are coming down out of the yellows. I have serious suspicions that the bupe had sugar in it. FB just does not do well in the higher numbers. I can't believe the vet thinks 150-250 is a good range for cats. FB likes the 50-80 range. He only ate a little br and peed and has hidden under a chair for the morning. Hard to believe surgery was ONLY 5 days ago. Feels like forever in this beans world.

Whew. am I tired from all the partying at Leo's last night. Such a wonderful time and so many friends visiting. What a way to celebrate the King of the Farts! Hopefully Leo gets some rest before he gets into the torture mobile for the last time.

Thinking of Mannie and all the other kitties needing healing.

Karen

Hi, Karen, glad to see FB's numbers coming down.
Continuing to send healing vines!

It has been a stressful 5 days for you guys. Sending YOU vines, too!

Bupe shouldn't contain sugar. It comes as a powder that's dissolved in water.

That morning number is much better looking!! I think cats' resilience is nothing short of amazing.

Hi Karen. Glad that Fur Ball's finished his bupe. Hopefully you'll see his numbers coming back down. We were late starting PurrFace on insulin because the vet said we could treat his high BG (300s) by switching his diet from he dry food we were feeding him to a special diabetic dry food he sold. It was only after finding this forum that we were able to meet with him and take an active role in treatment plan. I guess what has been said on this forum many times that vets aren't that well informed on FD is truer than we realize. Hope FB's appy improves and he come out of hiding and relaxes.

Have a great day Karen.

i'm glad Fur Ball is feeling better and bring those numbers back down. And a break from the cone of shame. What a nice day for all of you! have a great day!

I'm so sorry I didn't visit your condo sooner - what a lot you have been through! Glad that Fur Ball was able to get rid of that cone of shame. Sending tons of healing vines his way!

Yay Furr Ball on escaping the Cone of Shame and no more Bupe. Paws crossed all the BGs will fall right back into the happy range.

Hey Fur Ball, you were doing pretty good balancing on that low tree limb all night, playing referee for the mouse maze hunt, we got lots of meeces for Mannie's grill! You were super busy with those meeces going everywhere keeping an eye on them, so I understand you are super tired today. We is all taking naps and chillaxin now. Feel better! ~Leo

Things are looking up over here....awesome! Yes, when our babies are hurting, it suddenly seems as if time stands still. I'm glad Fur Ball is healing up now!

Our vetty is the same way....she thinks 170 is a normal BG for a cat. I don't get it  :? ....

Have a great day!

Hi Karen, so glad Fur Ball is feeling better and no more Bupe. The Vets do seem to like the numbers high!

Hey Fur Ball, glad you had a great time at Leo's party catching meeces. I am tired, too, from too many niptinis, Mags

hi Karen! first I want to say that I think it is so great that you still post at FDMB...I didn't even know Furr Ball was OTJ  He must have been since before Gob got his dx. I am glad to read that he is done with the bupe and hope he feels better :-D

I hope Fur Ball's numbers keep sliding down now that he is done with the bupe. Most vets don't understand home testing and think those higher numbers are okay because they don't realize we can catch the lower numbers and keep our kitties safe. My vet told me Furball would be okay in the low 200s.
