Yesterday's Condo

Morning LL ~O)

Shadow ate well for his +4 and +8 and his breffis and came up with an AMPS that is one point higher than yesterday's for me this morning! He is purring away and seemed to understand when I told him that he is doing very well and that I am happy and hopeful! It's amazing to realize that just this past Sunday I was ready to throw out this new Lev pen that I had opened on Apr 4th....thinking that it was not very effective and perhaps a dud. I was also wondering about the strength of the other pens I have in my fridge from the same new pack that I just received. I was getting myself really upset with the thought that something might have happened with that whole shipment that I have happily stowed in my refrigerator. That sense of security that I get when I have backups of either insulin or test strips.

I guess that little .25u that I added worked to shock his system enough to give him those low greens and then an all-blue day yesterday! As Monique said "Sometimes you have to go up in order to come down". We had a calm night last night, with me adding the check at +6 just in case. He has been so very good through this entire time with me and my hobby (ear pricking a specialty!)

And all Ps seem to be fine although the pooping is not as frequent, blame in part to the addition of raw to the canned food I give them both. They both seem to be very happy kitties...very in tune with each other, very into their routines and looking very very good! I am content and very thankful.

And NOW....they are so excited to be going to Max's OTJ party....Shadow loves parties but is heartbroken that Max is leaving LL...Raja is thrilled to have Max at the Falls and has so many things planned for him there! We are all hoping that Logan will be able to make it too even tho his Mama may be very busy...Raja will stay at his side as she likes to do to make sure he has all that he needs and that he behaves himself. This is indeed a wonderful day....so happy for Randi and Max... drinking24

You will find when feeding raw, that they may not poop every day. I'm starting to see this with the raw I'm feeding. I've been told that this is normal and nothing to be concerned about.

It means they are utilizing the nutrients properly and there is less waste being produced.

Nice to see these numbers on the Shadowman! And glad you didn't second guess yourself and throw out your supply! If you ever think that you get a dud pen - may I suggest you contact the pharmacy and/or manufacturer and tell them and see if they will replace it for free. I would think they would. They may ask for the dud back for testing purposes.

Have fun at the party - Maui's says it's a black attire affair or a naked affair! Kitty's choice.

Looks like Shadow is having a pretty darn good week! Very happy to see it! :-D

Interesting to know about the pooping and the raw food...I'm hoping next month to try out some raw on my two and see how they like it. I think I did some checking and the raw will cost less than the canned, plus it is better for them, so we definitely want to give it a try. I haven't had time to get back to it tho and make it...but next month should be a little less hectic! :-D

Good TGIF for Shadow. Raw food, huh! Is it from a pet store? It seems to come packaged in one pound packages. I hear of more pets liking it.

Nice amps today--Hope Shadow is resting up for tonite's Max OTJ party!
I always say you need to go up to come back down, and we are now doing just that..Moonie has had higher numbers & I also thought it was the pen--Got mine from Canada this summer--Been very happy & stable in the refrig..In a few days, you'll know if it was the pen or just Shadow!! Hey, They're cats!! They do what they want!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Have a good day!

Hi Pat. I like Shadow's numbers this morning, although some of us were waiting up late last night thinking you were going to be having a PJ party with lots of tests due to Shadow's PMPS. But nope, you were snoozing. So we played in your condo without you.

Well I know Shadow is feeling better cuz Max just told me he is dancing on the table
and he has a lampshade on his head, It must have been the one that Max came home
with from one of Shadow's parties. :lol: :lol: :lol:
Max is already scoping out the falls with Raja as his tour guide and is certainly keeping
an eye out for Logan.

He will so totally miss having Shadow visit his condo every day but he will be coming to visit you.

:oops: I am sorry I didn't update you last night but he wasn't going anywhere...don't know how I knew that, but I just did. I did get back up just as I was trying to get to sleep and added the second alarm setting for +6 along with the +8 just in case. But I really didn't think he was going to dive...

I am so tired by the time the last check at night rolls around (sometimes I am sleeping with my head propped on my hand while watching tv and DH doesn't know I have left the party... :lol: The night before knocked me out and without a nap, I am toast by midnight. I don't know how you guys do it with the late nights you put in on here! You must all be spring chickens!

Nice to see Shadow gliding along in a comfortable zone. I haven't been able to visit much today we are choking in a volcanic ash cloud :mrgreen: Waiting for the fantastic sunsets! Have a good Friday everyone.

My boy is waiting for his numbers to come up a little, so he can see his friends at Max's party. I hear Shadow is playng lamp again. :lol:

Graph looks like a La-Z-boy recliner. All it needs is Shadow in it holding a beer can in one paw and the TV remote in the other.

Hahhaa that's awesome CD!! I love this game!!! To me it kinda looks like that cat is flipping the bird however :).

Edit: I think Pat should test more.. like say.. every hour! :).. my program fills in any time period blanks with guesses based on a straight line (since there's no reasonable way to predict these cats).. more tests = more room for creativity! :)

hmmm...I thought people were making snide remarks about the amount of times I tested the other night....something about giving his ears a break or something like that...and YOU two want me to test every hour so you can chart and draw! LOLOLOL

What a FUN read! So good to hear you happy and Shadow doing so well! I think it was raja's little stunt the other day that pushed Shadow over the edge. Not the insulin! :lol:

Latte is on her way to the party. She is really hoping Shadow will still be there when she arrives.

Thank you Pat for all the wonderful support toward myself and latte. It really means the world to us.

PS- Latte was asking me when the next party is??? At your place, that is!

That's awesome :)

I'm starting to feel bad.. takes me about 2 seconds to hold down the mouse button, drag across the cycle..copy, paste, hit the go button.. I did spend a good 30 seconds resizing it though so it would display inline! :).. think your time investment in this process is considerably higher ;).
 
Look at all you creative people......I am lucky if I can type and hit submit correctly. I feel kind of useless in this condo. :YMSIGH:

Ok kids....I am beat again tonight...just woke up and have to go to bed now...ha haa...
Shadow is feeling fine and eating wesl...so is Raja...she jumped the little fence again and wandered around to the neighbor's apartment. Think she checks out the plants there, the little stinker. then, she comes running back and hops back over the fence and lands on the threshold of the front doorway. She is such a showoff!
They had such a great time at Max's party and are looking forward to Hank's now. So, if you guys wanna hang out, "mi casa es su casa" so enjoy...help yourself to whatever you need/want. I will be up again at 2 am I think but I won't disturb you! Night Owls you are! :YMHUG:
