4/16 Rusty PMPS 105, +4.5 99 pic

A green AMPS. Haven't seen that in a while (although the blood drop was pretty small because Rusty didn't want to come to his usual testing place and therefore didn't get his ear warmed). We'll keep an eye on him. And we have to keep an eye on his papabean, who is in great pain this morning and has another dental appointment this afternoon. Edward has determined which tooth is the problem, and hopefully this dentist will be able to deal with it. We may be doing a lot of running around today if we have to see an endodontist; the closest one is 3 hours away.

Enclosed is a pic I took of Rusty yesterday. He has decided he likes the wicker armchairs we found in the dump last summer and had cushions made for them. Looks comfy, yes?

Hi guys .. wow, what a nice start to the day for rusty, and what a cute photo! Hope he surfs all day long for you guys .. Sorry to hear Edward is in such pain .. I sure hope the dentist can help him out .. Rusty, you be a good boy if your beanz have to go away ok? Have a great day guys!

Handsome dude - look at the tail on that guy! I hope Edward gets the tooth taken care of and gets out of pain. Ugh. Surf nice greens, Rusty!

Hi Ella. What a great number to start the day for Rusty. Sure hope he has surfing on his mind. Great pic. Sure shows Rusty's awesome tail all puffed up. What a find with the chairs. Just reinforces the adage that "one man's junk is another man's treasure.". It's amazing how many folks discard perfectly useful things. Great job on reclaiming them.

Have a great day Ella and I hope that the dentist can take care of the tooth that is causing Edward such pain. It would be awful if he had to miss your first canoeing trip of the season.

I hope he surfs nicely today.
Soooooo sorry that Edward is in such pain! I'm sending really good healing vines (prayers) for dx and fix-up!

Oh Sir Rusty! U iz BOOTIFUL! ...an u haz 'THE' tail! KT has 'THE' tail too....SO pretty! AND u haz bootiful numberz too!!!

That's another beautiful feature of a lot of Maine Coons - that TAIL says it all...all the time! It rides high looking like a flag all the time!!

Hope Edward is able to get some relief from that tooth pain - I'd rather have a baby than have tooth pain! I swear it's worse!!

Yup, that's Rusty's tail! He's very proud of it.

We are still waiting around for it to be time to go to the dentist. It's pretty clear that Edward needs a root canal. We called 2 endodontists recommended by friends, both in Glens Falls, about 3 hours-drive from here. One was into May before an appointment could be made. The other was on vacation until next week. So we are going back to the local dentist in an hour. Edward's pain has gotten much worse. If the dentist doesn't or can't do anything for him, tomorrow we will drive down to NYC to our regular dentist. He is excellent and does root canals. In any event, it doesn't look like we'll be in our canoe tomorrow!

Edward thanks you all for your vines and concern. bbl, hopefully with some good news!

Ella & Rusty, who had an altercation with the Shadow this morning. We separated them!

p.s. Rhiannon, what's a "wookie toe"? I think what you see is the hair in Rusty's paws: he has lots of hair between his toes. He's got a lot of Maine Coon in him.

I always say that around here when I need to trim feet....
At least since I changed kitty litters, that long hair doesn't get kitty litter stuck to it anymore.....
Shadow isn't a maine coon but she has extra fur between her toes too.


You should call ahead to your regular dentist and make sure he can squeeze you in if you have to go to NYC.

Hi again,

The vines and good thoughts for Edward worked and he thanks you all so much. The dentist here in the village turns out to be excellent. He opened up the tooth to release the pressure from an abcess, which was just beginning to form. On Friday he will do the actual root canal unless the tooth is structurally insufficient, in which case it will be extracted (it is the very end molar). So Edward is pain-free and we can go canoeing tomorrow. And we don't have to drive to NYC on the spur of the moment (we are going in any event in 2 weeks).

The LagoonMeister is still on duty and is surfing the upper greens.

The CHAIR is on it's side, but still on top of the ice. We have had very strong winds today, so it may have blown over. In any event, it won't be long now before it goes under!

p.s. The two real-wicker armchairs were at the dump near Camp Stu. We found them last fall. The dump has an "exchange" that people call "Our Walmart". Anyone can bring things there that they no longer want or need, and anyone can pick things up that they do want or need. It's a great idea. We must have happened along just after those chairs were dropped off, because there is no way they would have been there long!

Rusty is such a gorgeous cat. His avatar picture doesn't do him justice. Nice green surf today. I'm glad Edward was able to get some pain relief for his tooth today.

So glad Edward is feeling better, I know exactly what he was going through!

Tess is sorry not to join Rusty today, but her beans abandoned her and she got good foods to keep her up. :lol: :lol:

Sorry for the late visit - I was doing medical visits too, but nothing as serious as Edward. I'm glad he got the pain dealt with and you can get on the water tomorrow. :-D

Rusty is looking fabulous in the lagoon again. Love the pic! And that tail is to swoon for. :-D Neko is part MC (I think) so has a shortened version of the fluffy tail.
