Feeling optimistic this morning because we got some better numbers last night after his pm injection (+2/294, +4/284). Those numbers, along with his AMPS of 352 this morning is more of the pattern that I would expect.

I may not run a curve today, but I will test him occasionally to see if the good pattern continues. Fingers crossed!

You're doing well. And he's better than he started; there is room to continue improving.

I suspect an increase of 0.25 units could be beneficial so he can start having all his numbers below 300. perhaps you might do that in the morning, if you've time to observe.

BJM: after watching his numbers since last night's PMPS, I am still torn about increasing, even by 0.25. Why? Because he is still showing a bounce every day, and I know his little body is trying to regulate itself and get used to the insulin. While I would LOVE to have him down in the blue numbers, I don't know that I want to disturb the pattern/dance he is providing via his numbers right this minute.

He's only been on insulin for 5-1/2 cycles to date.

I'm very torn, and open to suggestions.

And yes, I am very fortunate to work out of my house, and so I can observe, no problem. This is killing my billable hours, but Pumbaa is responding and that's all that counts!
