Steady as she goes.....I'm fattening up the .5 just a bit again because I would still like to see preshots a bit lower (I know there's the meter variance to consider as well)....and she seems to cruise in the low blues/high greens when I'm not around so I'm not worried about her getting into trouble.

Seems like as soon as I starting readying myself for having to give in and shoot low - she's decided that I'm not going to need to do that :)

Have a great day everyone....I'm thinking blue thoughts for all.

She may just be one of those girls that you will find yourself having to fatten and skinny depending on where she starts the day, but right now that .5u give or take a drop one way of the other looks good on her...and yep one of these days you are going to have to find a pair of BOS and just shoot low to stay low. nailbite_smile

I know, but I'm really not looking forward to it because I'm going to worry and probably piss her off testing. - Looks like tonight I might need to stay up a bit later than usual - she's just about green at +3 already. I don't think she'll get into trouble, but its good to find out exactly where she bottoms out.

And that reminds me - she's 3 months Lantus today after her DKA/hospitalization. When does she move from the newly diagnosed 50 to the longterm diabetic 40 in terms of reductions. I really don't want to take her down if I can avoid it because I'm getting good preshots finally.

Longer than a year she is considered a long term, actually Autumn is technically a newly dxed diabetic because she has only been on insulin less than a year (minus 12 days to a year) but since I know she was dxed long before she was started on insulin I consider her a long-term.
