Good morning everyone and what a wonderful day it is....One of our Lantus Land kitties has a party going on and he is now officially OTJ!!! YEA MAX!! party_cat
It's also a good day in Spot's world also. The big bad dog will not be returning (actually the little 10 lb. terrier), the sun is shining and grammie bean is home so he will be able to go outside and sit on his chair for a good part of the day. 8th dose of AB's on board and 2nd dose of probiotics in his system. He is a happy cat!
Ok, course of action was actually decided upon before I read everyone's responses in yesterday's condo. I was thinking that my cut off number would be 150. Then this morning, after seeing the 140, I decided that I would continue to observe and if numbers aren't any lower I would give the drop. As D mentioned in her post, the reason for waiting is because I am off all weekend (YEA) and I can monitor better. Mom just called me with a +2.5 and he has come down to a nice 127. She will test again in a few hours. Not sure how that will actually look since my brother is coming over today to power wash the deck. Spot usually doesn't get to upset over this, but who knows how he will react since he's been sick.
Hey, Jen, I will find that letter and read again today. Although I know what it says I know I need to re-read it just because
I am always reminding everyone that our kitties are more than just numbers...and I KNOW that Spot is included in that and it is so true. I may be obsessing about his numbers, but he couldn't care less...and you couldn't prove it by him that they are out of the ordinary. He is happy, he is content, and he is great!
Kryskat...I have read that about the cinnamon too, but like you said...never know exactly what is in "flavoring". Although it is a nice thought to be able to just wipe that gel on his gums, I'm not sure if it is one of the culprits. Maybe will have to wait until he is feeling better to try it out again.
Again, thank you all for stopping by and giving us your support and encouragement. It is much appreciated.....
Oh....and Maui.....Spot will be back to clean the pool shortly. However, I think you may want to reconsider having him as a full time pool-kat. He is getting up there in age and has been pondering semi-retirement. Said something like...the falls would be much more enjoyable if he could just sit back, soak up the sun and enjoy his new pool chair and didn't have to wait on some frisky feline all the time ;-)
