And a beautiful morning it is...........a tad cold, okay really cold out there but Mr. Davidson gave us a nice number this morning..........

Looks good so far and only 13 days to go..............we won't countdown daily but we will post and hope that his body parts react well to not having any Juice.

You might want to add the day# of the OTJ trial to your subject line. Otherwise, the assumption will be that you skipped Davidson's shot. Good luck with the trial.

What!???! No condo every day during the OTJ trial? Then how is the jury supposed to see how he's doing? And what about those awful poems I was planning for each day? Darn, I'm bummed. Ok, a poem for day 1 at least.

Davidson's OTJ trial has just begun,
13 more days to run,
that 64 looks beautiful,
but Shawna's not being dutiful,
providing a daily update,
we'll just have to wait,
and search out those clues,
hope we don't see any blues,
we'll keep cheering from the sidelines,
and hope Shawna is off having a good time!

Okay, will do the Condo's - there wasn't any information lately other then the HUGE support from everyone and I thought the Condo's was to inform everyone on various situation relevant to the progress. Okay, okay - will add them ;-)

You don't have to do a condo every day during the OTJ trial. It's up to you. It's just that there have been an incredible number of people following along with Davidson's progress and waiting to see him to this step. We might not have commented every day, but we were there lurking.

We love to cheer on those kitties on OTJ trials. It gives us hope for the future with our own kitties. It can make someone's day, to read some cheery news and know that things may be brighter another day.

You think it's cold where you live? We got a dusting of snow overnight, after temps being in the 70's (21 C) yesterday. Not likely to see temps get out of the 30's (21 C) today. :cry:

Cold - it was snowing here yesterday as well and -8C which is 17F and with the wind -13C or around 10F.........BRRRRR. Snow has melted as we only got a dusting in the Niagara area, but Toronto got a few inches and the ice is still on the areas where there was standing water.

Yes - Thank You all for LURKING............much appreciated and in spite of normally having absolutely no patience whatsoever, I had to learn to have a ton of patience for Davidson's sake. The start slow, stay low approach really works and anyone who has doubts just look at Davidson's SS. Even I am amazed how well he did and just very lucky that everything is working out for him.

I have changed his feeding habits and even though he's a big boy, he has to learn to eat smaller amounts more often, so he and Harley get a full can of FF each at 5am (yes, we are all morning people here) and then every few hours they share a can which is not much food, but they don't need more. In fact, they are eating a lot less food then before as Davidson the horse will eat if you give it to him. Haha. I'm watching his weight and he's still 16lbs but has been that way for over 9 yrs and he is comfortable there. In time I'll get him down to 15 lbs but I cannot starve him if that is where he is with the little food he gets. Between Harley & Davidson they should be getting at least 7 cans of FF each day, and they get only 4-5 right now, plus a lot of dried dead chicken treats which they both love.

We'll be posting so not to worry, as well even when and if Davidson is fully OTJ - I too will be lurking in the back ground and also sending periodic updates on Davidson.

Back out to the cold..........

Yeah for Day One! The kitties here all like to party and dance to celebrate the OTJ trials. :mrgreen: Go Davidson!

Wow!!! Day one and an AMBG of 64?? That is AWESOMENESS!! Yeah Davidson!! You're gonna do this OTJ... ;-)

oh yes, we love OTJ trial countdowns! truly - we have 3 going on right now at the same time and you know it gives new people hope to see that cats can and do heal and become diet controlled! Hope is an awfully important thing when you're faced with taking care of a newly diagnosed diabetic cat!

So WAHOO Davidson! Go Pancreas Go! :thumbup
 
Well, Started Day 2 (we began the OTJ Trial last night) and so far SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!

Today:

AMBG 64
PMBG 70

Looks like Davidson is handling this well and this is all new to him so I'm hoping as the days pass his tests will be in the 'safe' zone. Two weeks seems like a long time now...........but we'll make it!!@
