Would someone explain to me how decreasing bella to 1.75 drains his depot, since I'm leaving, does it completely drain or how does that work
 
Not sure I can answer this and make sense but I'll give it a try.

Let's say you're giving Bella 2.0u. If you decrease to say 1.5u, his body realizes that it needs less stored insulin in the depot and the result may be that the extra is released into the body resulting in lower than usual numbers for a cycle or two.
After that, if he's only getting 1.5u but needs 2.0 for good numbers, presumably the numbers will be higher.

Some kitties are more or less sensitive to this scenario.

Leo hates all the low phos foods I've tried also even when I put Fortiflora on it. I don't get it, you would think it tastes better since there's usually more fat in it. :banghead:

Can you boil up some eggs and put the chopped egg whites into their food? Elizabeth M. Hodgkins (DVM) in her book "Your Cat" (New York: 2007) recommends adding egg white to canned wet food: "Egg white is high in top-quality protein but contains no phosphate, so it effectively "dilutes" the phosphorus in the food. . . ." (p. 217)

Weruva Truluxe. I tried FF but Leo wasn't liking the pates, only the gravy ones. :banghead: So then I tried Weruva because they had it at the pet store 5 mts from my house. They have 3 different brands, Truluxe, Cats in the Kitchen and BFF. Check out their website www.weruva.com. They list the all the ingredients and amounts of protein, fats, carbs, phos etc...
