Stella's Condo
Good Morning`
On a good note, all P's are in place with Stella. She was very happy to see me yesterday afternoon and her tail was in the air.
On another note, the kitty sitter did NOT work out. I don't even know where to begin. She was a whole bunch of drama. For those that don't know, I was on a work trip in Boston. As you know, a major tragedy happened at the Boston Marathon. The kitty sitter wanted me to talk on the phone and talk to her during each visit and had me on the phone for a half hour each time. Or she would text me and the conversation would last an hour and a half. The last thing I needed was 'kitty sitter drama' in the midst of a real tragedy. It was just two much to handle, so after 3 visits one of my coworkers met her at my apartment and took my keys from her. Needless to say, she was paid for 6 visits and 6 insulin shots and the kitties got 3 visits and Stella only got 2 shots. What a waste on so many levels. It just goes to show you, even when you go to a reputable web site and hire someone that is bonded, insured, and background checked can still be a disaster.
My coworker asked if this woman was living in my apartment while I was gone. I said no. My coworker said it took about a half and hour for her to gather all of her personal items including a pillow. I was paying her for 30 minute visits. This kitty sitter was having trouble getting Stella her shots. I told her it was because Stella had a routine and from what she told me on the phone she wasn't keeping Stella's schedule. I could tell you each thing that alerted me to trouble but the bottom line is this woman didn't know what she was doiing despite my specific instructions and her passimg the interview. I was afraid she was going to end up harming my kitties so I got her out.
She didn't understand the concept of Caro syrup, she was putting cat nip in Stella's bowl, not food etc. What a whack job. I told her if Stella didn't eat she was going to kill her. She iddn't feed her after the two insulin shots she did manage. Then she couldn't give an injection and she asked if she should put Caro syrup on Stella's paws... you get the picture.
The hunt for a kitty sitter continues...
