Hope her appy pics up.

BFG doesn't like it when my niece and nephew visit, what we do is put his food in our bedroom/ensuite and his LB too, the kids know our bedroom is out of bounds and it means he can relax away from the kids.
Yep that's what we do we have litter box food waterm in our bedroom. My grandson is very well behaved he has learned to respect her home. He givers her a wide birth, and doesn't run in the home. And if she comes around he knows not yo make sudden moves. She has come over to him and laud on his truck

I think you can wait a couple of hours, say get a +4. You've got a +2 that's about the same as the preshot, which suggests that it will be a "normal active" Lantus cycle. It doesn't look like Phoebe has a pattern of dropping quickly after her shot, so I think you're ok waiting a couple of hours.

Are you thinking there is something wrong with the test? It's normal for one blood drop to even measure different numbers, so I wouldn't worry about the variations between the 2 ears. It's nothing to worry about if that's what is concerning you.

It was just a big difference the first one 225 I was celebrating, then remembered if it's a big difference than "normal" retest. So then the 266 I was like what? Did test my own finger tested it 2x 102 106. Ok thank you what do I put for the ss

For whatever reason, the law allows glucometers to be accurate within a 20% margin. That means that one drop of blood that a lab might test as 300, can measure from 240 to 360 (20% either way from 300) and still be considered accurate.

As annoying as that is, for our purposes with a diabetic cat it's good enough. What matters most is that a cat is protected from hypoglycemia, and in lower ranges that 20% isn't so much. From a 50, 20% is from 40-60. If a cat is in high numbers, it doesn't matter much whether it's 200 or 240.

I got tagged in this thread and I don't know why.
How do you tag someone?
@Phoebes tagged you for some help, but I think that's all sorted now.
You tag someone by using the @ infront of the user name and selecting them from the drop down list that appears as you start to type the username

Nope, still not getting it. I know how to copy a shortcut; right click, copy, paste but I only get the entire http address, not the shortened version. If I type @ it doesn't show up in blue like I'd expect and no menu appears.

You have to type @ and a space and then start typing the user name and then the dropdown list appears.

@Phoebes
Cynthia's brother is in the hospital but they're all 1,000's of miles away, he's an alcoholic and doesn't want to be there, my mother in law is 90 and we're hiding things from her. Just feel so helpless and if something does happen all we can do is board Noah at our vet. We're all in the same boat, we chose to stay at home and take care of our cats. I haven't had a vacation since before Noah's brother Nigel was diagnosed.

Big hugs to your Cynthia, that is a hard wicked diesease. Absolutely we are in the boat together. If you need anything, or just need to talk, I have big ears. :bighug:

Thanks. I can handle getting older but then everyone around us gets old too. And Noah is such a bad traveler. His brother Nigel thought going in a car to the vet was a vacation, best patient I ever had. Sat on my lap in the car looking out the window, never had to crate him.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending prayers for your family.
