4/15 Pearl PMPS 86, +2 60, +3 53, +4.25 81

Morning Margaret.... congrats on Pearl's reduction!!! Was that a surprise, or were you anticipating one soon?
So good to hear your girls are happy and doing so well.
Have a wonderful day! :bighug::bighug:
Hi Tammy, thanks! I have been expecting one, just because I've been using the 3% food (instead of the 0%) with no affect on her BG - which usually means she is gearing up to drop. But I was still surprised when it happened. Hope you and Missy are well - I love seeing her so green on a dose for so long!

So Pearl seems to be teetering on the edge of going under 50 again (and earning a back-to-back reduction), despite my efforts to regulate her with food. She gives me plenty of warning when this is going to happen (because sometimes she goes back-to-back), and I've been seeing the pattern now. When this happens, her NADIR is at +2 to +3, I catch it, and she comes back up. Tomorrow morning I have to leave the house at +2.5 and will be gone until +8 - so right in the "danger zone".

What do you do, people who leave the house (as I am not a person who usually leaves the house), when your cat is playing around with going under 50 and you suspect she is going to do it imminently, as in when you have to leave? Do I just leave out the HC stuff and go?

You could feed HC and leave some out or you could just skip. She will get back on track.

If you just feed HC before you leave, she could come back down when it wears off. I might just pretend it’s a “fur shot” and skip.

How did she get on such an in-between dose?

Hi!, and thanks for your input! LOL, she got all the way down to 2 Units but she couldn't hold it. So, I boosted her up to 2.125U just in case it was a matter of being right on the edge - and it wasn't. So, that is how we got to an in-between dose! I have been wondering in general if I should perhaps drop her 1/8 units instead of 1/4 units when she gets reductions, but this time around she seems to be holding it ok!

Next time you reduce, I’d just suggest going to 2.25 so you can get back on that “schedule”.
