What a lovely day yesterday. Lots of blue and a decent amount of green. But clearly the green was a little low for Neko's liver. ohmygod_smile

4/14 Recap:
AMPS 194 +6 171 +9 90
PMPS 55  :o  +1 106 (after an initial test of 34  ) +4 173 +9 143

I guess I kind of expected today's bounce. Neko has IAA and the antibodies often delay the bounce a cycle or two, or three, after the low event. She can usually hold on for one more cycle after the low, but then it's "thar she blows!" I debated getting that +4 test today. Neko wasn't looking so happy but she has surprised me often enough that I thought I should get one early test. I can tell it's well after onset now and she's coming down a bit. She's always more comfortable when she starts coming down from higher numbers as she starts a major grooming session.

The day did start out well for Neko. The bean got up early for rowing and provided extra snacks at +9 overnight. She was back on time for breffs. But the rain started later so the solarium's not as warm as the inside bed.

OT: I missed the moon last night as it was hidden behind trees when I went to bed, but more than made up for it in the week hours. The eclipse had passed but it was still close to Mars when I got up. And on the water as we were about to start a race, we looked over and saw the huge orange ball suspended just above the horizon, with a rower in a single in front of it. Wish I had my camera. The moon slipped down and disappeared 4 minutes later.

Neko thought she was supposed to shoot the moon today. :-x  Hope tonight is better. Very cool view of the moon when rowing.

It's good to see Neko is coming back down already. How cool on the moon when you were rowing. It was too overcast & rainy here to see anything.

I am glad that Neko is coming down nicely. It's funny how you can predict Neko's level. Sometimes I can with Lovey too. He seems more quiet with the 300's. Although last night, I figured she was going too low since she was more friendly than usual. She was meowing and jumping on the couch, snuggling when we were watching a movie. I pulled out the testing supplies and she was 267. I ruined the moment.

The view of the moon sounds cool when rowing.

Also, thanks for the link to a dental specialist in my area. I spoke to my vet who doesn't have x-ray machine and she said that she would be happy to write me a referral. She said that Dr. Carmichael is excellent as a doctor and cat lover. She said that this would be the best care for Lovey if it was affordable to me. I feel that lovey has been through enough with testing and shots, but I know the dental checkup is important.

Hi Wendy,
Neko is coming down nicely from that +4.

What a great description of the moon and rower! That must have been spectacular.

The kitties are gathering in Arizona. Neko is wielding her sushi knives and the party is getting underway. Here it's snowing, so we won't be able to see the moon.

Have a good evening. Don't wait up for Neko!!

What is wrong with these kitties, today? I haven't seen as many good cycles as usual in the daily condos. Neko, come on. You have to lead by example here. Show the other kitties the way to the lagoon tonight!

Darn on the missed picture. I always miss the best moments, too! :YMSIGH:

Have a great night, Wendy!

Well at least that +4 is not pink. Neko was very playful after dinner. She was batting at her sisal ball, hugging her nanners and tossing around a toy that Mariko gave her. Then the pest (aka Theo) had to go and ruin it - she's a solo player and he had to get in there and try to join the fun. :-x

@Rhiannon, Liz, Carla, Catherine, Ella, Shelly - No sign of the moon here tonight - it's raining. The only pink we saw today was Neko. But I'm hoping she'll hold it to high yellow tonight and come down to blue after onset. Time for me to go to bed, no need to wait for Neko to get back home. Days like today I wish I could bring a camera when I go rowing, but it's just too risky given how wet we can get, and it's salt water.
