Mini Me is still in my care and doing better. His number are still higher than anyone would like, but steady now. I have to admit, that I'd rather keep him than give him up, he's grown on me, but unless my situation changes, he's still up for adoption. As for why I haven't been on and updating, I won't go into details here but to say my life's been a mess is putting it lightly. HE has remained on his insulin and still tested, but updating his SS and on here fell to a back burner as other things demanded my attention. I am sorry and will be trying to stay on, but a LOT is in the air right now with us.

No explanation or apologies are necessary. Life sometimes intervenes. I hope whatever has turned things upside down is over with quickly and all gets back to some semblance of normal.

It would help us to help you if you could start to get some spot checks during both the AM and PM cycle. Since Lantus dosing is based on the nadir, it's important to have some sense of what's going on. It's entirely possible that Mini Me is seeing low numbers at nadir and then bouncing back into those higher ranges. Without that information, you could get suggestions about dosing that could endanger your kitty.

Hi Silvia. Just wishing you and Mini Me well. Hopefully life will calm down for you. But, how great that you continue to care for Mini Me. May things change so that you can keep him.

Spot tests are a little hard with work at the moment. I haven't managed to get home at lunch and if I don't sleep well, I can't drive safely, which is my job. I will try, hopefully things settle more to where I'm not having to cover as much
