Hi All!
Seems all of the kitties here are doing great! And congrats to Laura and Hadley!

Mickey has been giving me struggles for the past 2 weeks. First peeing on the kitchen floor. Vet did test got clavamox. Which caused even worse diarreah than normal. Tossed the living room rug in the trash. Sick! Lets see then it was so bad we went on Metrodizonal(spelled wrong) the other day. So we have new rug, and 2 new cat beds he either pooped or peed on. I did smarten up and put pee pads on top of both of them. And we have newspaper strategically placed in known poo areas. The other cats are having a ball playing with the papers.
I finally updated my ss which is wacky, shot times and such. My work schedule changed so much it was all I could do. And there are some skipped amps/pmps I ran out of strips and had to wait to get paid.
I also opened a new pen of lev, lets see how that works!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Oh no, Peggy, I'm sorrry Mickey is sick again. I can't remember...did you put him back on prozac or did you try Thomas on prozac? You are quite the woman! I think I would have covered everything in that 70's plastic wrap a long time ago.

Have you looked into adding enzymes and/or probiotics to his food? With all the antibiotics, he probably needs the probiotics and his digestive issues may mean he can't fully digest his food. My vet suggested Prozime for my aunt's cat with similar issues to Mickey's. I ended up researching and getting a different, cheaper product because I think Prozime has lactose in it (not lactase, which would be ok). The product I got is called Animal Essentials Plant Enzymes and Probiotics. I also add Gentle Digest which has prebiotics and probiotics. All these products are plant based enzymes though, so I don't know how much good they are for a cat. I used to use FortiFlora, but it is too expensive.

Hi Sheila I do have fortaflora. I will start adding that. And my word, it is expensive....
I will check out the stuff you recommeded, do you know if it is flavored or tasteless?

Hi Marcy, Yes on the prozac for Mickey. Doesn't seem to make a difference tho. And the 70's plastic wrap, I almost have that! Disguised very well. Just gotta figure out how to wrap the wood floors without looking like I live in a bubble....I just figure. Oh well, clean it up. But the furniture seems fine for now...

Um, I haven't tasted the stuff (either of them) :-D , but my one cat that was really interested in the Fortiflora packets (after I emptied them) is interested in the smell of the Gentle Digest. I don't think the other one has a taste/smell.
