Jimmy went up +2....I've been slowly been able to fill in test at different times. Anyone have thoughts or responses or ideas as to what his story is telling us and to what we're seeing on his SS? Thx.

Hi Susan, you might get more responses by adding the blue question mark prefix to your thread title. Also don't be shy about bumping your condo up by answering it yourself, so the more experienced members can find your post.

We are going across town for Easter and taking both kitties with us. My plan is to test AMPS and pending what we get not test until we get back home on Monday. He will be a little stressed out and am guessing numbers will be higher - I don't want to give him added stress of testing. But alas, this is just a plan. Will see how he does.

Hi Susan,

I haven't met you and Jimmy yet - welcome to the group!

You're off to a great start, getting a variety of tests in. It won't be long before Jimmy's ear will bleed with every test and the testing will get easier. Are you giving him a treat with every test? That'll help him get used to it as well.

I don't have any particular insights to offer about his spreadsheet at this point, but it won't be long before we can tell more. Do try to get a test in before every shot, though, because that's the only way to know if it's safe to shoot him.

Have a wonderful holiday with your family! We dragged punkin around with us everywhere and he did fine. I hope Jimmy will do fine tomorrow too.

It was a bust. I should have let him stay home instead of taking him overnight. He didn't eat much and hid under the couch mostly. Could not test or give him insulin. He did enjoy being "in he country" esp during the am when the birds were waking up. All the windows were open so lots of cat TV going on. Just when he somewhat starting exploring it was time to get back in the carrier and go home. Once we got him home he was very stressed and open mouth breathing. He seems to have settled down in the past few minutes. I am going to test him around 5 or 6 depending how he does over the next few hours. I know his numbers will be up.

Well whatever it is, don't let it worry you. It's just one number and you'll get back on track! How is he doing now? All settled?

Thank you. Yes - he is more at ease and definitely tired. (His sister is also sleeping hard after the short night away.) They had been up since very early am. He's eaten and drank some water which he hadn't done since starting the insulin. So I know he's not feeling great. But he's enjoying being petted and accepting of belly rubs. Two more hours...I know he'll feel better after the shot. Mummah's intuition. :cat:

Stunned at his PMPS - 161!. We are thinking perhaps it was the increased activity (my sister's house has lot of stairs - he and his sister were bolting up and down them at dawn this morning, trying to catch the best viewing for all the birdies). I for sure - thought we were going to be looking at 300-400s. Way to go Jimmy! :cat:
