Her highness is perched on my desk, which wouldn't be a problem except she dipped her tail in my coffee and is totally oblivious to having done so. I'd worry that there was some sort of diabetic numbness going on except that she's always been careless with that part of her anatomy.

Looks like we are back to the numbers I'm used to - and if she does happen to come in low at PMPS, I'll be asking to borrow Mel and Debs balls for sure.

I get you there. Sneakers will put her tail in her food and water dish and seems oblivious to it.

Although- was the coffee hot? I would have thought heat/cold would have been apparent to her even if wet isn't.

Not scalding hot - but she is pretty oblivious to temperatures as well it seems. I have a halogen desk lamp and she happily perches with one part or another of her almost on it.

Now Sneakers will do that if it is cold- perching under my reading light was a favorite of hers.

Hmmmm - I don't know my Jez's background - she was a barn kitten rescue.....but I betcha she and Sneakers have some ancestors in common....along with another cat I used to have who loved to sit on the range....wouldn't have been an issue except that it was back in the day when gas stoves had gas pilot lights and he'd lay his tail right across it...my house often smelled like singed fur, lol......

LOL my civie Sophia will do that with her tail and my bath water, and I take HOT baths, I would think she would notice at least the heat if not the wet but Oh No! She is too busy trying to save me from drowning to know she is floating her tail in the water..lol

I think it was Mark Twain that said "A cat doesn't know it has a tail until you trod upon it."
