I was working late last night (see below) and Gracie became the wild thang! :lol: :lol: It started with Rocket Man; he was zoom zooming all over the house at the speed of light and she was sitting up on a bar chair next to me. She sat up, the wheels started to turn hey that looks really fun!!! and off she went. She was like a little wind up toy :lol: :lol: She must have whacked every toy we have down and believe me, there are a lot :roll: :roll: She has done this in the past when her BG was dropping so I tested her and she was flat as a pancake thanks, mom, for that extra pokey I DIDN'T need!. But she still loves me because she snuggled with me last night

We're not sure yet if this is a bit of bounciness from the 49 yesterday or just a food spike. But, she's looking better than she was so patience pants on!

I worked ALL day yesterday typing up my technical report from the review of that 300 page document. I got a reprieve on the due date from yesterday to today. I had it all done by 6:30 and was talking to my agency's attorney about some of the legal mechanisms. I had several MS Word docs open and started clicking "save" and closing them. Don't ask me how because I can't figure it out but my 20-page tech report closed without saving and I had forgotten to do "autosave". I looked everywhere in my computer; it was gone. I was devastated and also really tired. I finally came to the realization that it was nowhere on my computer and I was going to have to redo it. Thankfully, I had saved an earlier version that was about half of it. So I started again where that one left off. I finished at 1 a.m. I've never come so close to just saying "ok....I'm retiring right this minute; good luck with the report" :lol: :lol: :lol: Actually, I was not that cheery! ;-)

It just hit me!! I know where it went!!! J-E-R-S-E-Y stole it!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I have to do a cover letter for it today and a briefing at 3:30. Then I'll have a break on it until Apr 25th. Can't wait...I'm so far behind on yard work. :smile: :smile:

It's good to see Gracie get back to the lagoon. I love hearing how much energy Gracie and Tobey have and how much fun they have playing. Sorry about your disappearing report. Darn Jersey :lol:

Oh, Marje, you jest about Jersey stealing your work, but I have no doubt that such a feat is within her capabilities. After living with her for so many years, I believe she may truly be the root of all evils! :lol: :lol: :lol: I actually did spend about 7 hours one day typing up a research paper for a class I was taking. Lo and behold, there came Little Miss Jekyll across my keyboard. :twisted: I had a string of gobbledy-gook in the middle of my paper. I don't know what keys she hit, but she changed the whole formatting of the document, too. It took me an hour to get it fixed. Ugghhhh. Stupid ol' cat.

In all seriousness, I really am sorry to hear about your lost document (or partial lost document). I've been there, done that. It's so frustrating. :YMSIGH:

It looks like Gracie had a good day today numbers-wise and spirit-wise. It's always fun to watch them act like Energizer bunnies. I wish I had that much energy!

Bummer on the unsaved document! It was probably there somewhere, but how to find it? Good thing you had an older copy. Do you use a PC, or a Mac? Mac has something called Time Machine that can restore the state of your computer and its files from a previous date (including earlier on the present date). This is useful if something has become corrupted.

Great story about Jersey, Shelly. Reformatting is soooooo fun :lol: :lol: :lol:

Ella: our personal computer is a MAC and we do have a time capsule. Alas....I was on a govt computer which is a PC and no time capsule. I'm pretty savvy computer wise and I couldn't find it....not even in a temp file. Thus my speculation that Jersey took it ;-) ;-)

Finished the edits and it went out for signature. I'm bushed. Dinner, visit a few condos, and bedtime for me.

Glad to hear Lucy is better and we hope Rex is doing well.
