2.4 is the "take action" number, so in that respect you're still in very safe territory. I don't know how much meter variation there is; it's possible that 0.4 and 0.8 could really be the same number. I'd suggest maybe checking again at preshot and see if it's still climbing. Also, check your meter's manual to see if it gives an accuracy range. (I was going to see what mine was but I can't seem to find it right now.)
 
Thank you...I'll do all of the above! I have the Nova Max reader, which I just use for ketones. (and I'm very new to blood ketone testing. Previously I did urine testing)
