Thursday and Friday saw slightly higher numbers than previous, but were both in the PM. Now... this morning... a low blue before he ate. His number has come down a few hours after eating, but still.... why are his numbers creeping upward? Is that a sign that his pancreas is being a little lazy? The fact that his numbers come down after eating mean that it's doing it's job.

I'm a worry wart, and even if he's still good to go for his OTJ party Monday, I will still probably test him once a day, just to be sure.

Has anyone else seen this happen?

Is he just being a Cat? LOL

I worry too when I get a blue AMBG or PMBG but as long as they come down to a double digits 3 hours later the pancreas is working.

I try to remember that the meters are + /- 20 % in accuracy so consider that too when you get a blue. I am not even going to tell you to not worry because, I fret over every blue start Bubba has now OTJ but as long as they are 120 and under, and he returns to a green 3 -4 hours after eating, all is good.

Furball has fluctuations in her numbers and gives me blue numbers sometimes. It happens for different reasons. The important thing is Chase brought his numbers back down to green. I tested Furball once a day for a while and then switched to once a week.

Thanks, everyone. I AM a worry wart. I just want to keep him safe, even if it were to mean giving him insulin. But so far, he' mostly green. And OH how he hates having his ears poked, now. LOL... and to think I used to do it 10 times a day, sometimes more. He's probably thinking, "Really? REALLY? I thought we were OVER that, Mom".
