Rollercoaster Boy gave me a good number this morning. Woohoo. He's so unpredictable. For the past two days he's been eating insanely. This morning I get up and NONE of the food in his over-night feeder had been eaten. I thought uh-oh, the numbers gonna STINK. Then I got a 69. I'll take it. Then when i fed him he gobbled down every drop even though the other food in the autofeeder was there. He must like ME to feed him. :?: nailbite_smile

Ya see? This is why I'm afraid to get another cat. He's so high maintenance. I don't know if I could handle having another one with issues. I think I'd become more insane than I already am! :lol:

That's very nice of you Boomer.. to give your mom a number that she doesn't have to worry about all day.. bet she'll bring you home a present to thank you for it.. WON'T YOU MOM! :)

Hmmm.....what kind of pwesent should I bring home? His favorite kinds of toys have feathers which he then rips apart. Last night while I was waiting to give him his +3 test (after the 150) he began going nuts playing by himself with a feather toy. Jumping around all over the place. I thought he must have felt much better and that all the play would bring down his numbers. This morning I found the toy in his auto feeder. The thing had turned and a feather was poking out. It's funny the way when he really likes a toy he brings it to his food and water bowl. The one he loved the best he brought to the LB with him after it was in the water bowl so all the litter stuck to the toy like cement. GROSS!

CD - you have been SO creative lately. I love it. And I agree...it would be a good logo and slogan for us..."we're all mad here" (sinister laugh) :lol:

Hmm don't know about cat toys.. of course I buy ALL the different kinds I see.. but they are more into the plastic rings off milk jugs, bottle caps and pipe cleaners ;).. most of the toys my cats like come from the craft store or as bi-products from bottled drinks ;).

I buy lots of toys too and same darn thing, they want boxes, paper bags, bottle caps, milk rings and mommy's yarnz.

Traci maybe if you had another kitty Boomer would be *less* high maintenance ;-) :dizcat

Happy Day 8, what a great number!!! Scrabble is happy himself with plastic bags etc. I don't know how many time I have brought home toys and they just look at them, lol! You are over the hump, how exciting! have a great day!!!!

Boomer is different - he never played with anything by himself until my Mom got him a feather toy. I never bought anything with feathers because I thought he'd eat them and puke. When she gave me the new toy I let him have it and I saw a brand new cat. He played with the toy alone without any provocation - that's something new. So now it's feathers all the way and feathers on sticks too.

Michelle-He EATS plasics bags! I've had to get rid of them in my small garbage pails which stinks.

Mine love their toys too.......but especially while rolling in catnip/kitty pot. It is also great for making toys that have become uninteresting interesting again. Just roll them in it...and/or buy the one's where you can tuck some into the pocket. But the quick-moving hand under the covers is also still a tried and true favorite (warning: clip nails first). and the little rats are still a hit. Throw them into the bathtub and they will run and jump in. Hank also has one of his shorter little cat trees, from when he was a baby, that he like to tackle. If you set it out and wave a stick or feather behind it..he will run across the room pounce on with his whole body & attack the whole post knocking it down to the ground then doing rabbit feet on it. It's his best trick!! Guess you have to see the visual. :lol:

Alternative to nail clipping (I have a CH cat and it's pretty cruel to clip their claws short).. oven mitt under the blanket! We use tissue paper here mostly.. (called "crinkle papers of DOOM!" in this house because tissue paper sounds wussy.. and my boys are big tough men :) )..

On a scale from 1 to 10..if any particular toy is a "5".. the same toy under newspaper or crinkle papers of DOOM! is like a 923492391.

Really? I think the crinkle papers of DOOM!" may give my little guy a heart attack. All of my cats have been terrified of crinkles. Plastic bag sounds too. Yours aren't? I must have all the feline wimps! :lol: :oops:

Nope they love the crinkle noises.. plastic bags with the handles cut off, newspapers and fliers, and crinkle papers of DOOM! always cover the living room floor :).
 
This is a nice relief after last night. I can't BELIEVE how much a puke can mess things up!!!

PS - what are the five P'a again?
1. Peeing
2. Pooping
3. Playing
4. Preening
5. ??? (isn't it eating? I can't think of a p word that mean to eat!) DUH!
