Sheba got down to blue yesterday morning and PMPS but otherwise has remained in the yellow/pinks.
I was wondering if the medium carbs I am giving her at +2.5 are influencing the numbers. She can look like she is going to drop, then doesn't go much further. Maybe I will stop them and see what happens? What do you think?

It's definitely worth a try!! A lot of this dance is "trial and error" ...and of course the fact we're working on cats (who absolutely refuse to read the rules) makes it even harder....LOL

Sheba is such a gorgeous kitty!! I have a special place in my heart for the orinch kitties since my first kitten was one

Looks like she stuck her muzzle into some white paint....LOL

You can also reduce the amount of MC to see if that makes a difference. Getting the food right is all about experiment and seeing what works. This is the 6th cycle after the reduced doses, so now the depot should be back in play. Sometimes the impact of a reduced dose can be seen a few cycles later.

I see that Sheba likes the grandkids - or at least their laps! :)

I used to use mc to slow Max down at 2.5 but gave lc if he wasn't dropping too fast. Whether that will work or not is anyone's guess and when you figure it out she will likely change it for you. She sure is a beauty.

If you have ever wondered why cats like to camp in the kitchen, I have the reason why........

Today I was getting 2 large pots of yogurt out of the frig, when one of them slipped out of my grasp:eek:.
It fell to the floor splattering the entire contents over the frig, my legs and several metres across the floor. I was in a sea of yogurt. By the time I had got myself out of the mess, I turned around to see a splattered Sheba lapping up the yogurt as fast is she could from the floor:cat:. Of course it was the honey yogurt which fell!
So cats wait patiently for their beans to make a slip and then they pounce and gain the reward:) -the effort of the wait is worth it!!:D
No low numbers for Sheba this cycle:banghead:

Thank you Chris, Carla, Wendy ,Elise, Rhiannon and Ruth for looking in and for the lovely words about Sheba. She is a lovely natured cat...also thanks for the advice about the mc food.

LOL on the "Sheba Yogurt Incident" :joyful::joyful:....kitties know what they are doing :joyful:! And what a sweet picture of her with the kids!!

Gabby is one of those kitties who likes early, fast drops in her numbers. I don't reach for anything other than LC until I see she's in green and still dropping. It helps to keep in mind that the more time that Sheba spends in normal range numbers, the better for her pancreas and the more you are training her body to not overreact to lower numbers. So like the others have been saying, I'd experiment and give more LC vs. MC food. (Just my 2 cents!)

I love orange kitties and Sheba is a "looker."

as a creamsicle's bean, I too am partial to the orange ones. Sheba is indeed lovely and no doubt very pleased with her score of the yogurt. Dogs aren't the only opportunists in the kitchen!

I'd keep her on the LC too, as long as you have something she likes. I've had to resort to mixing a little of Tess's favorite HC into her LC to encourage eating, the result is still under 10%. It doesn't take much of the yummy stuff to get her to eat.

Beautiful picture!

Thank you Suki, Amy, Sienne, Ella, Megan, Vicki and Ann or your kind words about Sheba....we think she is gorgeous too! And for the advice on feeding.
