I feel totally messed up here...never had a number in black before....have no idea what to do tomorrow...going to bed since I don't have to worry about him dropping low too soon...I hope.
 
These high numbers are the result of the "Lo" you got today. When a kitty drops into low numbers or there's a fast drop, the cat's liver and pancreas go into protective mode and released a stored form of glucose along with counterregulatory hormones. These cause BG numbers to spike upward. It can take roughly 3 days for the bounce to resolve.
 
So should I continue the 0.5 in the am? And not expect to see the low numbers for a couple of days at least? I was advised to go to that from 0.75 due to so many low numbers the other day. Thanks
 
Holy moly! LO? :shock: :shock: :shock: Great job on handling that, Phyllis. You never know how long these high numbers will last, could be better tomorrow or could take as long as 3 days. We ever know. Please stick with the 0.5u for now and keep testing so you keep Nonnie safe when the numbers come down.
