Good Morning. I didn't post yesterday but they were:

4/13
AT/MC
AMPS - 346/182 - .4
+5 - 302/194
PMPS - 540/424; 1U
+3 - 295/227 (ate LC food afterwards)
+5 - 275/186 (ate LC food afterwards)

AMPS - 424 (same as last night and I gave him 1U)

So I will be giving him 1U this morning. I hope he doesn't give me a 424 tonight.

Just keep muttering, "collecting data, collecting data".....looks like last night could have been a smidge more so maybe try that on that range next time. One unit "should" work today. Yes, hope he doesn't drop low and bounce.

I have not given his insulin to him yet. Do you think I should give him a little more?

I am conflicted. I like that he is not dipping low and bouncing. But the one unit gave you yellows last night, albeit 50% nadirs. He does have room to drop, if we just knew he wouldn't crash. And he just started a new scale.....

Up to you, Cindi. You could give 1.2 and see if he has good midcycle numbers but doesn't drop. Or last night could have been the first flat cycle on a good dose and he will settle into it today. The cautious dose is one unit. The 1.2 may set up bouncing again or not......

There is a lot to be said for going with your gut. What is it saying?

I don't want him to start bouncing again so maybe 1U today (two times in a row) would give us a lower number at nadir and we can see if we get the same or different numbers as last night. What better time to see how he reacts to the same number...collecting data. If it is the same (high), then next time, I go with 1.2U and adjust my scale. If it is lower, then hopefully we will see a lower number at PMPS today. Thanks.

He came down 50%, into a nice blue. Let's see if he doesn't bounce. If not, then yes, if you can monitor, try the 1.2 on the next 400+

Good advice from Sue - A good safe cycle. If you can be around to keep an eye out, then maybe slightly more aggressive.

Well, at least it stayed a little below the AMPS number (424). So the next time I get 424 (or whereabouts); should I still go with 1U since it didn't bounce up to the 400's? Or should I try 1.2U?

So for tonight, according to my scale, I gave him .8U. We shall see and will check before bedtime.
