A gorgeous warm spring day this weekend here :-D Emma's already planted herself in front of the bedroom sliding door and is bird watching :smile: I hope she doesn't face plant herself on the screen door going after a bird again ohmygod_smile Leroy's lounging on the bed in a sun puddle.

Going to do a bit of shopping today. Civies need more food, I want new lighter summery curtains for the living room windows, and I need to get a wrench for work because the ones that I had been using have gone MIA ohmygod_smile I am so tempted to ask security to review the footage of our dedicated loading dock to see who took the wrenches after I last used them last Friday and when I found them missing this Wednesday. I'm hoping I can get reimbursed for buying a wrench. I'm going to keep the wrench locked up instead of leaving it lying around for someone to "borrow".

And I might browse new cell phones. Mine needs to be upgraded (basic phone still on 2G :shock: ) but I don't need all the bells and whistles of a smartphone that only work with expensive data plans :?

I'm taking a crash course in how to get up at 5am, for a sporadic temp job which starts Monday. This a.m. I rewarded myself for getting up to the 5am alarm by going back to bed for an hour. :lol:

Little worried about leaving Tippie alone for 11-14hrs at a time on the days that I work this job. She pretty much refuses to eat dry food (which is good, I know), and lately will not eat her wet food if I am not home. I invested in a bag of Evo last night, which she thought was a GIGANTIC bag of treats. I gave her a few pieces, which she gobbled up. I put some in her bowl when I went to bed. Despite just eating her p.m. snack, she devoured the Evo as well. I think she thought she hit the jackpot, and did not realize it was meant to be eaten later, if she was hungry.

A strange occurrence happened the other day. I have a pillow/bed which belonged to Latte. She LOVED this pillow. It is completely covered in her hair. It is one thing I have not been able to get rid of. When I moved, I threw it behind a chair in the corner, and covered it with a piece of fleece. It's one of Tippie's hiding spots when a stranger comes over. The other day, in the midst of playing, she went behind the chair, pushed the blanket off and started making biscuits. Before I go any further, I should explain that I have NEVER...NOT ONCE...seen her knead. Not to me, not to blankets, not to ANYTHING. In fact, I mentioned to Amy's Winston one day how strange it was despite all her other kitten behaviors (licking/chewing me). This behavior went on for about 5 minutes. Her purring was louder than ever. I could hear her in the next room over. I don't know. Probably means nothing. It was just so random and out of the blue. I had goosebumps, a smile, and a few tears.

Hope everyone stays safe with the crazy weather in the plains. And for those with the good weather...get out and enjoy it! :mrgreen:
 
oh, leroy looks like the picture of contentment! i am attracted to sunbeams too, and will take a nap even if i don't need one if the sun is just right! :lol:

LOVE the marshmallow update - that little kitter is just adorable. whatever was in that dish must've been yummy. she sure sucked it down. kittens are irresistible!

that's a sweet sign that tippie was kneading the pillow and purring. i'd love that - i can understand why you've kept it.

it's all blue sky here today! nothing on the agenda but little things at home. i found aphids on some fuschias and a hydrangea on thursday so need to treat them, and it's already time for another round of systemic on the roses. can't wait til they start blooming.

the sad thing is that anya wants to eat every flower i bring in the house, so i haven't hardly had fresh flowers in. i'm afraid of her eating something and getting poisoned. she's terrible about it. i put a vase up high, but i know she could get to it without much effort, so mostly i don't bring any in.

He sure does.... when he's not driving me nuts @-) Leroy's whining right now ohmygod_smile He just has his last dose of steroid-laced canned food and a few new treats. He probably wants his post dinner half raw nugget.

Yup :roll: I know it's not someone on the other teams who took it because they know not to touch anything in that part of the loading dock. I'm guessing it was a loading dock person or a facilities person who was in the area for some reason and decided to "borrow" the wrenches. Very few people have access to our dedicaed loading dock.

And yesterday I discovered that the latch to the storage tank that's kept on the loading dock has also gone MIA ohmygod_smile It was there Wednesday when I last put stuff into the tank. The latch was no where to be found on the floor and I was not going to probe around inside the liquid nitrogen filled tank for it :shock: My temporary fix until a new part can be obtained is a heavy box on top of the tank lid. I put a note on the box so it (hopefully) won't go MIA as well @-)

Same here with Leroy ohmygod_smile The market across the street has gorgeous cut flowers but I can't bring any home :sad: I occasionally buy Leroy a pot of kitty grass which he goes absolutely nuts over. Emma doesn't care for grass. Does Anya like fresh kitty grass or catnip?

I think Tippie somehow knew that the pillow was special :YMHUG:

I feel like I'm missing all the condos lately .. still working at my aunt/uncles home .. there was a lot more work then what we had originally been told .. but feel confident we should be done by tomorrow .. thank goodness .. Every muscle in my body aches ..

My heart is still breaking for Carolyn ..

My prayers are with Beth and Atlas ..
