We're a little late showing up today. Contractors invaded our peaceful home this AM. After this horrid winter, we decided to have extra insulation blown into the attic. Trying to save some $$$. Gus is cruising at his usual altitude, the 600 and 500s. When I get discouraged, I think of Max's SS. In the meantime, I have a happy Gus. Hope everyone is well today. I'll spend some time visiting a little later. It's so gorgeous outside, I have to get out and enjoy it.
 
A happy Gus is a good thing! Good luck with the contractors...been there, done that, didn't like it too much. Enjoy your beautiful weather!
 
Bev, of course ECID, but i think (and the vet thinks) punkin became diabetic over the stress from our remodeling project. Perhaps Gus is more easy-going than punkin (which isn't hard to imagine!) but you might want to give him extra TLC and protect him from the noise as much as possible.
 
That;s a point well taken. Gus is pretty laid back but hates loud noises regardless. Our home is usually very calm and quiet and we all like it that way. However, sometimes the noise is unavoidable. I'll be sure to love him up a little more than usual.
 
after the fact i wished i'd hung out downstairs with him for more of the day. the first week i just shoved the cats downstairs and basically ignored them, then punkin got so sick he was un-ignorable. he's the farthest cat from laid-back that there is though. no one would ever describe him like that. now whenever anyone even comes to the front door he dives downstairs to hide.
 
Hi guys! I hope Gus is having a good day today, and that the workers weren't too noisy for him. Sounds like maybe they won't bother him much. It is nice that he is a happy kitty today. :-D It was good too to see a lower amps for Gus today. YAY!

and yes - I know what you mean about Max's SS. Hang in there - I think you are doing well with Gus.

I hope it's not too late for me to tell you how much Gus loves that picture. He wishes he had a pair of those, but blue. He was great today. I actually spent most of the day with him so that we he wouldn't suffer with higher than needed #s. He gave up a couple of 300s in his PM dose. Tomorrow will be easier for him. Any kind of disruption is unwelcome, especially when you is workin' on you numbers. Noisy men.
