Good Morning, Everyone,

Cold rain/lite snow here this morning. Dark. Yesterday we had some crocuses, but I don't think they'll open their petals today! The spring birds have arrived: I saw white-throated sparrows the other day (my favorite bird). Fortunately a lot of the ground is thawing slowly and free of snow and they are finding food.

Rusty really wanted us up this morning, even before first light. He was hungry because he ate all his nighttime food early last night! So we had a good test, good shot, good breakfast (2 sittings eaten), and a rousing play with Big Bug. Yesterday Rusty chased a real bug outside, but didn't trap it, so I guess he wanted some more practice with Big Bug!

Potluck supper tonight with our small group of "Wayfarers". One of our group and her husband are moving to a senior residence in N. Carolina (her husband is crippled with arthritis and can't handle the northern winters any more). She is an intrepid paddler and mountaineer and we will miss her. Tomorrow we have the first paddle of the season (weather permitting) and I hope that she'll be able to come on it.

Nice amps for Rusty! Glad to hear you all are starting to thaw out and see signs of spring. Enjoy your potluck and paddle. Have a great one guys! :mrgreen:

Wow - still snowing in NY. :shock: But I am glad that things are thawing out, spring birds are back, and crocus have sprouted. YES! :-D Too fun on Rusty and the bug - Keep practicing Rusty!

Enjoy your potluck tonight. I am sorry that your friend and fellow paddler need to move. I hope she will be able to continue once she and her DH is settled in NC. Good luck on your first paddle for the season! I hope you can go, and that your friend will make it.

Rusty!!! Back to Gracie's!! It is Tobey's birthday, and we have a cake to bake!! Not to mention the continuance of out vigil with Gracie's catnip patch. I hope that the newly installed security measures are keeping it safe. See you! ~~ Mannie

& torrential rains--But we have hyacinths, daffodils crocus--

Still snowing! I bet you are looking forward to Spring. Enjoy your Potluck; always sad when friends move away, but it can also be a new place to visit. Have a nice day.

Oh Good, Tess has company at the Lagoon! Sounds like wonderful spring weather. Our crocus bloom at the end of the long dry summer and fall, in November! DH planted saffron crocus and we have to go out every morning to collect the stigma. We get enough saffron for one dish of paella! :lol:

Rusty! Baking day! But we should be able to sneak away for dune buggy rides now that the security fence is up! We gotta take Tobes out for his first ride! -- Tess

Hi Ella. Rusty's got some beautiful numbers again today. :-D What a joy it is to come to his condo. :smile:

We finally had a little rain last night and today. It cleaned the air. Our neighbor has dozens of gorgeous crocus. I have one hyacinth trying to come up, and lots of daffodils that are a few inches up also.
I love this time of year with the birds coming back. When I see the Red Wing Blackbirds, then it's Spring, to me :-D

It's great to see Rusty's numbers looking much better!!! Still sounds a little cold to go paddling!!!! :lol: :lol:

Sorry to hear about your friend leaving but I love your group name....sounds like you all have a wonderful time together. Enjoy your potluck..is Edward making bread?? YUMMMMM!!

Rusty...tanks for helping make Tobey's cake and making his day so special. He's cool isn't he...even for a baby brother!
