Good morning, everyone,

It's a dark, rainy morning here. The snow and ice are melting and there is a flood watch because of ice jams in the rivers. We are expecting heavy rain starting tomorrow, so will have to keep a close eye on our basement. This damp weather is not good for Rusty's chronic congestion and he is congested this morning. But he's in his little bed by the radiator, nice and snug. He enjoyed his lung treat and a schmooze. His shot was an ouchie, but it got in. First sitting of breakfast
has been eaten and the rest will be grazed on over the course of the morning.

This evening is the monthly potluck of our chapter of the Adirondack Mt. Club. Fortunately I am down for a salad!

Wishing you all a good day. Holding Rachel in our hearts.

That's a nice number to start the day with. I'm sorry that Rusty isn't feeling his best, though. Hopefully the rain will clear out soon. Sending anti-congestion vines to him!

Good plan on the salad for the potluck! I need to decide what I'm taking for our school's end-of-year potluck, and you've given me a great idea! ;-)

Have a great day, Ella!

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O)

What a nice blue start fir Rusty today. Yahoo! Plenty of room to include a visit to the lagoon. Off you go Rusty!

Sorry for the congestion for Rusty this morning. I hope the meds he takes will help with that, and that the heavy rains will lessen so he can feel better.

Paws crossed that your basement will remain dry.... I know how that feels when it is not, and I so remember the winter/spring when you flooded. We have flood watch on so many of our rivers too. We all hope that the snow melt will be a slow one, and that the rains lessen so the threat will lessen too. Wishing you guys much luck!

Enjoy the potluck. You always seem to have the best ones, with such fun to be had by all. I so hear you too, on being down for a salad. :-D

Enjoy your day today. I hope all goes well, Rusty's breathing improves,a nd that there will be sunny skies.

Nice start for Rusty this morning. Sorry about the congestion and the ouchie shot. I hope his congestion gets better. I hope your basement doesn't flood. Enjoy the potluck.

Re: 4/13 Rusty AMPS 153

Great AMPS for Rusty - I hope he's headed to the lagoon for a dip in the shallow end. I'm sure that will make the breathing easier. Sending good breathing vines and also stay dry vines for the basement. That's the one thing that makes me glad I don't have a basement - hearing about flooding. If we did have one, it would be flooded all the time, as our house is built on a reclaimed marsh. Still, I'm jealous of all that storage space.!

Hope you have a great day, in spite of the weather, Ella.

Hi again,
It turned into a warm, spring day. Rusty enjoyed some outdoor time in the sunshine. We enjoyed a walk on some of the hilly roads. There were rivulets of spring melt pouring into the drain ditches. It was a wonderful sound. So far our basement is dry. If it gets water,it is ground water, and the ground is still frozen. If we can get through May, we'll be OK!

Well, I formatted the hard drive on Edward's oldest PC. I was amazed that the computer was actually working, since it has sat out on the unheated porch for 6 or 7 years (and we get temperatures way below zero F., as you know). But I plugged it in and it started right up. I felt guilty at depriving it of it's data, but it is better for the computer to be recycled. Maybe someone, somewhere will be able to use it. It's a Dell from when Dell was No. 1 in PCs. Now I have to get a disk wipe program. Thanks, Wendy, for passing on your DH's suggestion, but I think I'm going to have to buy something that is on a physical disk, since it is no longer possible to download anything onto that computer (and it's from the dial-up modem days, in any event).

Off now to make the salad for the potluck. Rusty is still green, but I expect him to jump up by PMPS. I'll be home in time for PMPS.
