Yesterday's miserable night

Well, Rusty survived the night (we thought it was the end) and today is doing everything except eating (actually, he is eating, but not very much; his congestion is bad). He is jumping up onto his perch and the radiator very well. I went out to buy some different foods, including a can of AD (which, I see has fish oil in it and Rusty is allergic to fish, so I don't know if I'll try it or not). I got some FF Kitten Chicken, some Wholesome Farm Chicken, and something else that I don't recall the name of at the moment.
I stopped by the vet to get the AD and asked the tech if Rusty could have another shot of the steroid Depo Medrol soon. She called back after she checked with the vet and said he could have a shot every 3 weeks. So, if he survives the weekend, we will go early next week for the shot. It really helps his breathing--and his appetite.
Our "film society" is coming over tonight to see "The Philadelphia Story" (1940). I hope Rusty will do his normal meet and greet.

Be back much later, after our friends leave. Please send some vines to our boy.

Sending tons and tons of prayers and vines for Rusty! And tons and tons of hugs for you!
Would he maybe eat/drink the liver shake? I have never used it but it seems to be pretty legendary for ailing kitties who won't eat. But, having said that, I have breathing problems, too, and I know how difficult - sometimes impossible - to eat when you are having difficulty breathing. Don't know that the liver shake would make a lot of difference if his inappetence is due to breathing issues.

Hope our LagoonMeister is up to his meet and greet tonight, and continues to improve!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Rusty, I just hate that you aren't feeline good. It makes me feel me-yowly inside. I hope the film society meeting is fun and puts you in the mood for yummy snacks. Vines of well-being and a comfortable, restorative night for you and your family. And, um, I don't want to criticize since you are my mentor and all, but don't you think the lagoon is nicer nearer the shore?

I love that film! Laugh my head off!

Tons of vines on the way or Sir Rusty. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Keep eating sweet boy.

I just picked a ton of blackberry vines out of the parents garden today, but I'll ship something less invasive your way.

Hi again, Rusty had a good night at the movies. He sat on my lap and ate about 2/3rds of his dinner. He purred (through his congestion--what a sound!). He engaged with the group. We are much heartened.
Thank you all!

Yo, I'm on duty tonight but promised my mamabean I won't go to visit the sharks. A party on the beach sounds great, China!
