Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night. I woke him up at PMPS +7 to offer him food (but didn't test) and he ate some and we all went back to sleep. This morning he woke us with kitty kisses. He'd eaten most of his nighttime food and so far has eaten about half of his breakfast. He will have lunch served by his automat today because the beans have their annual dermatologist appointment. It's in Potsdam (about 70 miles from here), where the Agway is also situated. The Agway ordered for me a trial pack of Primal "Pronto" (small frozen bits, smaller than the nuggets), feline turkey formula. It is in, and we will take a cooler along so we can get it home still frozen. I'm curious to see how Rusty will react to raw food. He's been doing well on his current mix/rotation of Wellness Core Turkey and Duck, Merrick's Pure Bistro Chicken paté, FF T&G, and Wellness Chicken or Turkey. Gotta keep him eating!!

Wishing all a good day and sending vines to all in need. We won't be home until sometime around +9.

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

It is a nice start for Rusty today. Mid level blue, and hopefully off to the lagoon today. Surf well today Rusty. :cat:

Sounds like it is road trip day for you today. I hope the drive is a good one. And that you both have good appts.

Good luck with the raw foods. I can't wait to hear what Rusty thinks of it. Will he be a fan? It is nice to read that he is happy with his current rotation of fuds. Here's to good appys and good fuds Rusty!

Have a great day today!

It will be interesting to see how Rusty likes the new food. I'm one that if it ain't broke don't fix it and would be hesitant to change unless I had to because of health issues. Have a nice day!

Beautiful blue there Rusty. Surf it guy while your beans are away. I am interested to hear what he thinks of the new food. Our bathroom project is coming along. Thank you for asking. :) Have a great day Ella!

Hi again,
Our appointments went well (no problems). Rusty was asleep when we got home and apparently never even checked his automat for his lunch! (he had finished his breakfast and treats). We all went outdoors in the warm (upper 60s) weather. Then he ate some of his "lunch" while I watched the end of the Mets' Home Opening Day game (they won!).

We got the Primal Pronto turkey bits. I will try it at some point, but not just yet. He is doing really well on his current mix and I agree with Elise: don't rock the boat!. I also got two more bags of Orijen cat treats: wild boar and ranch-raised lamb. Rusty likes them both. I wish the Orijen dinners didn't have fish in them. They look like excellent food. They come in foil lined bags. I think they are "moist"--not wet (they are cooked in their own juices)--, but they might make a nice treat (for a kitty who isn't allergic to fish). And presumably one could add water. All the ingredients are fresh and sourced in Alberta Canada.

Off now to visit condos. The LagoonMeister looked in on the lagoon this afternoon, but has retreated up on shore to start the evening cycle.

I bet he'll find the lagoon again.

I'll have to go look for the smaller bites....
I just bought some Primal rabbit and they are big chunks so I chop it up ( and add her shrimp)

Almost bookend preshots, does that mean a lagoon visit to follow?

Good luck with the raw. I've heard it's easier to start with chicken and turkey should be tried last as some kitties have problems digesting it.

The Primal "Pronto" chicken is chicken and herring (Rusty is allergic to fish). The other recipe is rabbit, which he doesn't like. So that leaves turkey (which he does like). We'll see what happens! the Primal Pronto doesn't have all of the flavors that are available in the nuggets.

Zonked tonight. This warm weather has knocked me out (that and the long drive in bright sunshine). Rusty is on his way back to the lagoon.

Thanks for visiting,

Ella & Rusty

Glad you had good vetty visits, I was wondering if you were still a bit bruised and battered from your falls and what the dermatologist would make of that!

Hi Serryn, I don't have any visible bruises. I think they must all have been very deep bruises. But in any event, the only symptoms I still have from my accident are a hamstring/tendon pull (getting much better) and a sore elbow (feels like tennis elbow). I am resuming "normal" activities.
