Racci has been mostly blue but got a yellow last night. We'll see if she can keep it blue or add some greens today. She's been doing well except for having her days & nights mixed up though she probably thinks they're just the way they belong. She slept all day yesterday and wanted to eat and play again all night. I'll probably pass out again this afternoon like I did yesterday, which is becoming a habit since she keeps me up playing with her and feeding her all night. I'm just as guilty as she is though since I love to see her play It's been a long time since this 15.5 year old felt well enough to do that.

She had a little mishap last night with the new litter box I bought and instead of pooping in the back like she usually does, went in the front and then walked in it. I didn't her her calling for help like she usually does so must have had it happen when I dosed off. Anyway when I went in the bathroom there were streaks on the floor and yuky pieces of litter to clean up and I went looking for her. The poor baby had litter and poop stucck in between her toes. It must have been very painful, not to mention disgusting. What a mess to clean at 4am and then change her bedding and clean the floors and litter box! Hopefully she remembers this box faces the other way next time.

aw...poop on the toes...no fun!

surf those blues, Racci...and maybe a green or two as well?

Re: Racci 4/13-AMPS-166

Nice number today!! We here are used to litter foot & Litter toes, as Moonie's bad foot is always the one that steps in the wet litter, and carries it around with her--Then she freaks 0ut when I try to clean it off
angry(2)_cat ---A new litter box is a big challenge for a kitty who is used to an older one, But I am sure she would get the hang of it soon!
Moonie will be sweet 16 on May 6...and Last Night she came FLYING in a run from the back bedroom!!
Has been years since I saw here do that!!--Enjoy every thrill--I am glad Racci is Playing like a rock star!
So good to see old behaviors return! Very Very Great!--Have a good night-Hugs & Love from us!

Poor Moonie. She's just a few months older than Racci. Racci's bday is October. I feel so bad for them. Does she have that neuropathy in her back legs too? That's Racci's problem & a bad leg she hurt as a youngster that's arthritic now. I've been driving the poor girl crazy buying her new litter boxes on a quest to find one low enough not to hurt her legs getting in and out, but big enough to fit her big old body, not to mention all the fur. It seems an impossibility.

We're used to litter all over the floor because Racci's stomach fur is so long it sweeps it out with her. I had to stop buying clay litters because of it sticking to her fur on her feet. Now I buy natural pine with no additives and this is the first time it ever stuck because when it gets wet it dissolves into soft sand/sawdust. Mixed with poop however, is a different story. She freaks out when I clean or brush her back legs or feet also. She has a matt on each thigh. lol. It has to be shaved by the vet every so often until it gets bad again from her not cooperating when I brush her.

Well, we asked for a green and she delivered.

Hey Jenn!

Thanks for stopping by! It's so nice of you to visit. I hope you and Baxter are doing well too. Since Racci made the switch to wet food she's been doing much better, thanks.
