yesterday
punkin's his usual furry, purry self this morning. he was in the 40's yesterday, so this is just a bounce. breakfast eaten, CPC status maintained for him and anya, haven't given him his pill pockets yet. we're weaning off of the gaba - i think today will be the last dose - and i couldn't remember if he got one yesterday or not. anyway, that's next.
anya had the morning zoomies - running and sliding on the bare floor, jumping on the back of the recliner to start the circuit through the upstairs. i found one sock "dead" at her paws in the hallway this morning, and a Christmas ribbon she'd found somewhere was executed as well.
today's punkin-tasks: get blood drawn or scheduled in prep for the dental and to recheck his IGF numbers. CSU had said that rarely the SRT can cause hypothyroid so we'll make sure and get that checked as well.
i would say this is the first week since diagnosis that his hair has looked normal. he's grooming more, but i think some of it is just his BG is better controlled. yesterday his behavior was pre-diagnosis as well - he was cuddling with me, licking my face and neck (UGH). i know it was just because he was scared at the vet's, but i was still happy to be on the receiving end of all of his snuggles. it feels like we are finally back on track again after all the Freestyle Lite disaster.
