4/12 Recap: (beans gone all day to a rowing regatta)
AMPS 114
PMPS 128 +4 228

Neko got her temporary weekend dose increased back up this morning. I observed some things this weekend. First is that her depot can really influence 4 cycles. Second is that a .25U reduction is better than shaving if I want her to be safe. She started heading up last night so this morning got back to her last good dose. The bonus was that I got sleep last night.

I have no idea how Neko did yesterday though there was sunshine so I can guess where she was. I almost literally shot and ran out the door in the morning. DH picked the slowest line in the slowest border crossing on the way back so we were 40 minutes late with PMPS. I came home to hairball throw-ups in two places (I blame Theo), a couple of places with dingleberry droppings (likely Neko given the locations). What a welcome home. :p I did get some good purrs and a face cleaning from Neko. :) A much more relaxed day today. It's pouring out so cats are napping inside.

OT: We lucked out on the weather yesterday, though it was a bit windy. The boat I was in lost out on a third place by .1 second. Wouldn't be so bad if the boat that did come in third hadn't been blown partway into our lane off the start and slowed us down. Oh well, next time! DH did well and got a third in his singles race. Pretty good considering he just started practicing the single about a week ago. I'm glad I went.

Whoa, that was SO close -- .1 second! But you had fun, right? and that`s the main thing :) (spoken by one who never wins, but has fun)

I hope the dosecrease gets Neko back to some blues and greens. It sounds like you had fun at the regatta. I'm glad the weather wasn't bad. Congrats to your DH. It sounds like you did very well too.

That was quite the welcome home from the kitties!:rolleyes: ....If you could see outside our windows you would be so glad your race wasn't today :rolleyes: Glad you finished, didn't get caught in a squall or something terrible, but I feel your pain on the slow lane coming home-been there! :nailbiting::nailbiting: Good on you for your participation-glad you got a good night's sleep--good girl Neko!! :cat::cat:

I'm sure the kitties were pleased to see you home again. And good you got a good night's sleep.
It is maddening when a boat comes into your lane and slows you down. And then to take third place ahead of you.....that is rubbing salt into the wound. But well done anyway. I bet it was a lot of fun. And congrats to DH for coming third.
What is the island you said you were visiting the other day?

Hi Wendy,
That was quite a homecoming! But it was worth it, I'm sure. Congratulations on your DH's 3rd place in solo. I'm sorry that your boat got pushed around!

When's the next big regatta?

You could consider applying for the Nexus cards. Linda (Bear Man) has one and gets through those border crossings in no time.

Have a fine evening,

Ella & Rusty

Sigh - I hate NDW! :arghh: She seems to do better with smaller increases, but I'm pretty sure she needed the full .25U increase. On the up side, forecast shows some sun and solarium time tomorrow. :)

@ Lori, Carla, Patricia, Ruth, Bron, Ella, Rhiannon - Time for patience pants, and likely a good sleep - at least until we have to get up for rowing. Speaking of which, the boat I was in was third across the line, but Master's rowing has age handicapping and the young whipper snapper in our bow seat made a difference. I'm not quite old enough to balance her out. ;)
@Bron and Sheba - my parents live on one of the small islands near us - not likely you've heard of it. My mother was born there.
@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) - I've thought of Nexus, but we don't cross the border on the weekend very often. And DH seem to always know where the slow lines are. The other rowers went through another border crossing and got through much faster.

Welcome back Wendy, sounds as if you had a good time, even if you didn't win your race. Not so good on the hairball and slow lanes though. You will probably sleep well tonight.

What a welcome home! I guess the kitties made it clear what they think of you leaving them for a whole day :p

Congrats on the regatta results, must have been :nailbiting: waiting for the handicaps to be tallied for the final outcome.
