Good morning, LL!
Yesterday's Condo: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=117087
Thanks, Marje and Tricia, for sharing your OT thoughts on the fitbit. I've had one in my Amazon shopping cart for a while now but keep putting off buying it (probably because I'm too busy buying FF by the pallet).
..........Since my time here, you all have emphasized that ECID. You've also asked that I include a whole-cat report each day that addresses the 5 p's. I simply can no longer do that......I hope you all understand. From now on, my whole-cat report will be based on "PPIGS."
1. Picky
2. Plotting
3. Inside-Outside Game
4. Growling
5. Stalking
With that in mind, I am happy to report that all PPIGS are in place this morning.
1. Picky - No FF beef for Jersey this morning. She looked at me like, "Are you flippin' kiddin' me?" I had to crack open the FF liver and chicken.
2. Plotting - Civie Chappy thinks the perfect time to use the litter box is while I'm cleaning it. We were both hunkered over the lb this morning, and Jersey saw her opportunity to strike. (Her plotting of my demise has really stepped up a notch because now she looks for two-for-one deals.) She jumped up onto the cabinets above the litter box and then immediately barreled off of them, knocking off the dust buster on the shelf in the process. It landed in the lb. The dust buster narrowly missed both Chappy and me. Poor Chappy went barreling out of the lb. I am honestly quite surprised that a stream of urine didn't follow him. Poor li'l fella.
3. Inside-Outside Game: In the past hour, we have played the inside-outside game 3 times. "Let me out. No, no, I changed my mind. Let me in. Oh wait, I didn't see that speck of dirt out there. Let me back out." :YMSIGH:
4. Growling: We have played the growling game just once this morning, although I'm sure more is to come. Again....poor Chappy was the recipient.
5. Stalking: Apparently, something quite interesting (air, maybe; a cat hair dust bunny, perhaps) was in the house this morning, and Jersey stalked it to closet in the extra bedroom. She was scratching incessantly at the closet doors to get to it. Thank you, Jersey, for waking the human up in this manner. I appreciate it.
DH is also plotting against me. As I mentioned in yesterday's post, now that we're in an OTJ trial, I feel a bit lost - like I'm no longer properly taking care of Jersey. I have no doubt that DH recognizes my need to do something and has made it his mission to deprive me of the two pokes we're allowed each day. We used to test and shoot at 5:30 each morning, and I am still waking up (without the aid of an alarm clock) at our test time each morning. DH, however, is now successfully beating me to the punch. Yesterday morning, he tested at 5:15. This morning, he tested at 4:55. Ugghhh.....the early bird gets the worm. Note to self: Set alarm clock for 3:00 a.m. in morning.
Finally, just a serious note: Humor is a way I cope with stress and try to help others cope with stress. I know that many others on here are struggling right now with a variety of very serious issues, and I don't want anyone to think that I don't take the FD dance seriously. Please don't ever let me offend you - that is never my intention. And if I do offend you, please let me know so that I can sincerely apologize for it! :YMHUG:
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Rachel after the loss of her precious Chyna, and healing vines are headed out to all of the precious little ones at FDMB.
Have a great day!
