Ugghhh on the power. That's always miserable. I hope it comes back on soon!

Congrats on Day 8. You're getting so close now. Paws crossed that the next week goes as well as the one!

Power is back after 19 hours. I'm surprised too because DTE said 7:00 AM Monday.
Wouldn't you know it? I load up my laundry, empty water jugs, empty gas can for the generator, empty coffee mug, and empty stomach and drive 26 miles to the gf's house to take care of all of these things, and 10 minutes after I get back home the power comes on. :YMSIGH:

We had hail last night like I've never seen. It came down sideways and hit the house so hard I thought the windows were going to break. When it was over the grass and pavement were completely white. A small town 4 miles east of me had power lines come down over the entrance to a restaurant trapping the patrons inside for hours. Crazy! More rain tonight though but at least for now it's 73*

Dwight, my dad and his GF from Oregon are visiting my brother in Oxford. They arrive this coming Tuesday. I'm sure that my dad is bringing some of Oregon's strange spring weather with him.

I tried to call my brother today and didn't get an answer. My guess is everyone has left the house for a few hours of outside time, now that i learned from you about the hail. That's wild.

Boots is 'rookin good!! He's past the half-way marker for OTJ.. Woo hoo!

Oregon weather I'm sure would be better than the 35* high and 21* low we are supposed to see on Tuesday. We are 2" away from the yearly all-time record snowfall and it's possible it gets broke on Tues.
I am just west of town and was on the northwestern border of the outages. Just south of town in Lake Orion got the most damage so depending on what part of Oxford they live in, they could have been spared or was part of the blitzkrieg.
We are also due for more storms later tonight.

I was an hour late for the AM +9 feeding but when I got home there was still some leftover Friskies from lunch who knows when his last bites were.

Hi Shelly. I just looked at your ss. It's amazing how fast Boots is going off insulin, to me at least. What were you feeding him before? Max was diagnosed in November and I feel that we are still at square one.He was eating canned food only at the time but it was pretty high carb. I'm trying to figure out if there is anything else I could do for him. Thanks.

Hey, i'm in Oregon and I'll just say we've had highs in the 70's for about 5 days now and it's supposed to continue into next week. :-D nothing strange about that! i'm loving the sunshine!

your hail story sounds positively scary. i've never seen it hail that hard. glad you're back on the grid now.
