Ok appy, snuggly, not so spunky but a bit feisty....Trix definitely seems off and I am concerned. I wasn't able to talk to her vet last night, but another doc from the practice did refill her metronidazole which we restarted last night in case the 5 day course she finished last week wasn't enough to take care of her potential "butt flora issues" related to her anal gland scoot she had on April 1. That last round of metronidazole really popped her up, so hopefully this one will, too, and maybe we need to look into some sort of long-term plan. It is odd that ABs help her the way they do. Vetty thinks there could be an orthopedic component because of her arthritis and how that affects the ability to properly eliminate, so hopefully the Adequan will help with that factor. Her appy is a bit better today, but I still am doing some assist-feeding.
But, there is also the harsh reality that she has been living with very bad kidneys for a very long time....
Zen's labs came back perfect and he really does seem fine, but we do need to keep tabs on things with him since he did have some weight loss. Sigh.
Petey's ashes and pawprint came yesterday, too....still so hard to believe
....
I think this cold is finally subsiding, although the coughing fits are making me crazy. When we went to pick up Trix's meds last night, as soon as I started telling the tech why I was there, I started coughing so badly that I had to walk out and send DH in to complete the transaction.
I'm going to attempt to start stepping back in to life today...I haven't done anything around the house in weeks and it is a total disaster.
Prayers to all....
