Hello LL
Rex and I really appreciate your visits.
The last couple of day have been hell.
But I hope we will be putting this behind us.
Friday afternoon I had to assist feed Rex. I had tried so many things to stimulate his appetite, but with no luck.
Boy did he hate that! But by the third helping I was getting my technique down, and Rex was accepting the process.
I think the last medicine really helped get Rex over the hump! Later last night and today Rex has been eating by himself and all the food put down.
His calorie intake is back up, active, and alert. Don't know if I should go into all his meds, but the last medicine last night really did make a big difference.
Thanks to our Guardian Angel!!! ;-)
Now that he is eating his Low Phosphorus food, we can work on getting his BG back under control!
We certainly lost all of our gains, but we should be back on track soon.
We will have blood work back on Monday and will continue to work on lowering Rex's BUN, Creatinine, and Phosphorus.
We are having very good luck with Rex eating the Renal Food - I just need to soften it up with a little water.
Vet checked Rex's blood pressure and heart on Friday with both being normal.
We are continuing with Fluids, PepcidAC, Clindamycin, and B-12.
Many Many Thanks For Everyones Thoughts and Prayers.
