Wow, so it was a crazy busy weekend. Some notes may be vague on the ss...DH's notes from while I was gone aren't terribly clear.

One thing that was clear was that he earned another dosecrease last night. He's never dropped that low, or done it that fast--dropped 60 points in less than 3 hours! We started with the fat 0 dose today. I suspect some of the funny numbers over the weekend were rebound, but despite my telling DH to test Max whenever he could, he did not. Apparently it was too much for him to watch only the toddler and the cat. Why is it that I can handle both kids and the cat, but he can't?!? Whatever, it's over and done with. Hopefully Max will settle with this micro dose and ride a nice green surf w/o any bounces for a few days!

Mindy & Max!! Fat 0.. I thought Baby & Max were text messaging last night!! Now I know! How exciting for you!! Gooooooo Max!! Come on lil man!!

Men are not the best at multi-tasking, Mindy! Max is doing fabulous, though! Hard to believe it's only been a few weeks on insulin, huh? So happy to see him doing so well.

Thanks ladies! I was SHOCKED :o at the 41 he threw me last night--and only 15 minutes after a 52. I was about to go to bed, didn't suspect the 52, but then decided maybe I should stay up a while and see what happened. I'm so glad I did!

Kelly--the sad part is that I left him written instructions! Really not that hard: if in the 60s, feed LC. if in the 50s, feed MC, if in the 40s, feed HC and call me. He followed that part pretty well (tho he called with EVERY test, despite the feeding instructions). The rest of it was to test before shots, whenever he left the house, and before going to bed. He remembered the before going to bed, but not when he left the house. Oh well, the important part is that I'm home now and all is well. :-D

Terrific news Mindy.
Hope you enjoyed the weekend away.
Of course your question about why can't the DH multitask like we do
was rhetorical right???
Of course they can't. That's why they need us.

I am so happy to hear Max is foing so well.

Woohooo Max! Nice numbers and even nicer dose!

Hey, it sounds like your hubby did pretty well if that's all he forgot was before leaving the house. I'll give him props for trying. He's a guy and he had a toddler to take care of. Maybe he called you for every test just as an excuse to talk to you ;-) Or maybe he was afraid he'd get it wrong and be in trouble  I suspect mine would be about the same, he'd figure better safe than sorry.

Mine would probably be skipping tests and be full of excuses why he couldn't do it (mowing the lawn or doing some task, the man is always doing something, drives me crazy) He's already questioning why we're micro-dosing, "why not just stop? It's only a drop or three or whatever, how much good could it possibly be doing?" sez he. "Seems like a waste of time" sez he. "Well," sez me, "these folks who are guiding me have helped a whole lot of kitties go into remission using these waste of time doses. Remission means I won't have to spend hundreds of dollars a year on insulin, syringes and you don't even want to know how much I've spent on strips alone. So... we're gonna micro-dose and we're gonna test every two hours or every fifteen minutes or whatever is needed. Because as you keep reminding me, Tugger has cost us more money than your car cost so you have a lot invested in that cat going into remission rather than being insulin dependent." Then I might have flounced. Maybe. Just a little bit. I definitely mumbled under my breath about know-it-all-men who don't-know-jack-all about a da..ng thing stickin' their noses in and spouting off about stuff they can't even be bothered to read a little bit about.

Did I really want him to come home? Remind me about that already  How do married people live together??

HI Mindy and Max! I feel your pain with the DH! When I leave for work I verbally tell him when to test and I write it down ( and btw we do not have kids) and I will be looking at my watch at work waiting for him to call me with the results and I will let 30 min go by and I will call him and sometimes he is like oh I thought you said 7pm or I was just going to call you, too much! It is nice that we have them there to help but sometimes it can be too much for them hahahah! Anyway, how exciting a fat zero!!!!!!! I am dosing a .25 right now and that is hard, how the heck do you do a fat zero?? Anway, congrats, are you getting ready to chew gum?????? :-D
