I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. It was a good one here yesterday. William and Nicholas's morning was as typical as they all are, and it continues to be so fun to watch them get along as well as they do. It was very much a water day, but not for the usual Friday reasons.... we did not swim yesterday, but spent the day instead on the Skykomish River. it felt odd not to be on my way for PM swim with Nicholas last night. He and his family were off to a Mariners Game instead. He was so excited to be going, so we will wait til next week to resume the FR night swims, if he chooses that is. Even though we did not swim, I thought it would be good and fun to continue with the FR tradition of the Burger Feast, so I brought that with us to the river. Funny, but it was just as good there as it was after the pool. Nicholas was ever so happy to see that come out of the lunch bag. WOOT! William was elated that Nicholas shared some of his fries! Here's what I wrote about the day in yesterday's condo: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one with great weather. We did OK here, sunny by late afternoon, with what should be a great sunset. I think me made 69 here today. of course it wasn't that nice at the river where we were at, but it as doable. Not much sun at all when we were there. There were no rains, so good to go. we did well. We ended up just east of Gold Bar at Big Eddy, on the Skykomish River. It is a fav place of Nicholas, and easy to get too when the other snow bound places are not. It was a little cool there, not the 55 they said, but it was OK anyways. It was a nice laid back fun but mellow time on the river. We spent the morning there, made it home in time for the boys to get in that nap they needed so they could last though the Mariners baseball game tonight. The river was running really high today, but we still had lots of sandy areas in which to let the boys go at it. Funny but Nicholas still calls that portion of the river the stinky fish river - from the time we went in the fall after the salmon run and we found all the dead ones up on the banks. Funny how some names stick. Berry plants are just starting to make their flowers, so it will be a while before they come into being. Nicholas was looking everywhere for the ones he knew. They have alot of thimbleberries there too, in addition to the ever present salmonberries. We waded in the river some, threw the obligatory rocks and sticks, played in the sand, Great time there today. "

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. Crazy fun Lola. When I got home last night I watched run and romp. That is so fun to watch, and so what goes down here on FR nights. Elsa just watches, trying to decide what on earth they are doing. What was so funny was that I was home so much earlier on a Friday than I have been in months and they were all taken back a little by that: looked and stared as if trying to decide it it was OK to be crazy for while since I was home way too early, and then off they went to entertain me. There was nothing amiss when I got home. I get a few meows, some leg rubs, they get scritches in return, and then off they go. OH!! WAIT!! One thing!! Lola has discovered flies... :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o  She was chasing those pesty things everywhere. One had gotten into the office area so she was flying off of everything trying to catch it. I had things falling this way and that, including one picture off of the wall. . OMG.... this could really be a problem going forward. Best do my darned-est to keep them out of the house.... Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! It will be a normal Caturday here, for a while anyways: shopping, laundry errands, all those things I never get done when I have the boys. Catch up day! and recovery day from three very busy days with the boys. :-D In the afternoon however Erin, Jason and Nicholas and William and I are off to the Skagit Valley up north to see the tulips, and the tulip festival. I read that the flowers are gorgeous this year, with lots of them. It should be much fun. :-D Photos for sure!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Good Morning, Michelle,
What a great day on the Skykomish River! William is really getting into it with the sticks and all. Soon he and Nicholas will be skimming pebbles together! The water looked high and pretty fast. Neat that you could have your burger feast for lunch. And neat that Nicholas got to go to a baseball game.
Oh my on Lola chasing flies!!! Your house will never be the same if she keeps that up.

Have a lovely day at the tulip festival.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. to Elsa: love the ~O) this morning!

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, it really was a great day on the river yesterday. I love it there. The spot we go to is perfect for the boys. it has sand which most of our river spots don't, and they can get around easy. It will be so fun when William can be doing all that Nicholas does with him. Yes on the river: it was very high, very fast and COLD! bur gorgeous too! The rest of the day was a great one for the boys - fun all day long. I so agree on Lola and those flies... OMG! it was crazy, and I so hope she doesn't continue with that one. She flew off of the walls... THX on today - it will be great, with sunny skies. YAHOO!!!
Auntie Ella! THANKS YOU! I was thinking of you, and will bring back seconds! ~~ Elsa, KBP

We LOVE to hear the tales of the three musketeers and their two human boy sidekicks. Those two are really growing fast!

I think Zener just ruined pizza for me!

Sounds like another busy day for you, Michelle. It's so nice that you have so many natural resources around that you can enjoy.

Was it last week that I offered to let you come do my laundry? That offer still stands. I mean....since you're doing laundry stuff today anyway..... ;-)

Have a great night!

Oh, I can actually visualize Lola chasing flies!!! It sounds like you had a wonderful day on the river, too. I hope you enjoyed your Caturday chores....or at least I hope they weren't too painful. Have great evening, Michelle!

Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Ours has been great, We all headed on up to the Skagit Valley, Mt Vernon in particular to see the tulips. The area is well known for their blooms and every spring the fields are full of color, People come from everywhere to see the fields, and the garden displays. The traffic up there was awful! So many people! And it did take us a while to make it - way too much stop and go, mostly stop, before we found a space to park. The flowers were so so pretty!, so worth the effort to get there. I brought a spare camera with me today so that Nicholas could, if he wanted to, take some pics of the flowers. He loves flowers! No surprise that he really wanted to do just that, so I told him how to work it, and set him loose, camera in tow. He took amazingly good photos. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's condo. Have a great evening everyone!

Hi Anne - Hey thx - they do have fun all five of them! And yes on William! Soon he will be chasing his brother around. I can hardly wait for that.

Zener! Dude................ We delivers anywhere! everywhere! except the moon.... that is just too far, so yupp! catnip pizza with bird feathers and mouse tails coming up! Uhhhhh..... give us a few, Lola is out getting the mouse tails and Elsa is removing the feathers.... them birdies didnlt want to fork the over. Ok, looks like we gots all the ingredients now, so on our way! Bug, co-founder/president/CEO, Paw Prints Pizza

Hi Shelly - LOL on Zener's post. One will not look at pizza the same again.  And thx - it was a busy one today, but a pleasant busy,. Today was really cool, it is always a treat to be able to go see the fields. We are lucky here, with so many gorgeous outdoor options, love it all. HAHA on the laundry, and yes it was last week. :-D I got one load done today before the kids showed up and it was time to go... the other piles are still sitting where I left them. laundry really should learn to clean itself, don't ya think?

Hi Amy - omg on those flies. that was NUTS! and thx, yes the river was great, I so love spending time there, it will be great once the snows melt and the boys and I can get more remote up into the mountains. That is outstanding! THX on today - not too many chores, guess I will have to stop playing and tend to them.

Oh wow on Lola chasing the fly. I bet she could catch one if she tried long enough.

I'm glad you got to the river yesterday. It sounds like the tulip festival was fun. I hope the boys enjoyed the game last night.
